I purchased my second Troy Downey cue from an AZ member here this week. I received the cue, model DCC074 on the Mueller's Billiards site, and, again, I say that Troy Downey cues, TODAY, IMO, are the very best constructed, and playing cues -- for the money- of any cue maker - and I have experience with many, many custom cues.
Troy does all of Mueller's repair work and has done so for many years now - his repair/tip/ work is so top notch- you get back a shaft that is just totally pristine with any cue tip purchased. No detail is left out in the construction of a Downey cue, and his linen wraps are second to none - the best that I have ever seen.
I see many cue makers asking double what Troy gets for similar designed cues and woods, cannot defame any other maker, but for anyone seriously concerned with best bang for the buck- I would consider a Downey cue. I could not be happier with my purchase here this week!
