I'm impressed to see more non-industry sponsors taking an interest in our sport. Good luck with your event. Hope there is some U.S.A. live coverage but I won't hold my breath. grrrrrrrrrr.
 
Oh great, mixed doubles, woohoo...

Just what the sport needed.

Whats next? A Co-Ed reality TV show based around Bonus Ball with all the competitors living in the same house, getting in fights, and sleeping around with each other?

A sport with no mens tour and that has had recent years where we did not even have a world championships really does not benefit when the fringe parts of our sport get pushed like this.

This type of stuff can make pool turn into a exhibition sport like Roller Derby. We need to promote the professional mens game, and the womens shortly after. Mixed doubles? Pool is not even a team sport and scotch doubles is a side show that should have been kept at the amature level.

Proper pool professionals from the past are rolling over in their grave, people like Irving Crane, Mosconi, Caras, Greenleaf, people who played the game when it had some self respect are surely going "WTF are you guys doing to this sport?..."
 
It will be interesting to see who women like Jasmin, Karen, Ga and Allison pair up with.
