Is it just me, or are others getting a little sick of the drama on AZ? I guess I'm a little guilty of getting involved in it myself. I sometimes start regretting joining. Here is my vow.....I promise from now on, I'm going to do my part to promote the sport of pool, and stay out of the tean age girl drama show....

I guess the video of Mark Wilson posted recently started me thinking. My future posts will reflect that. Only involving myself in positive posts. Don't give a damn about who got banned....who threw a match...who boned the neighbors dog....whatever.

Only set poll for 3 days si its over and done with.

I didn't vote in the poll, because there was no "LOL, you must be new" option. Seriously though, good luck with the poll.- Josh

One man's drama is another man's honest opinion.

I don't mind people sticking up for their point of view. I don't like when they personally insult others, but as a friend of mine said "God must love jerks. He sure made enough of them."

I truly believe much of the drama starts when there may have been deceitful or inapproproate behavior. Then threads go every which way.

But I think the overall effect of posters calling out the BS shenanigans has given the pro industry food for thought and fuel to turn the train in a better direction.

There is always going to be differences in opinions and drama as some like to call it.
My view on this poll, is that it is just more drama. Nothing will change on AZ.

Buckshotshoey, I agree there is a lot of drama on this forum, but in my opinion,
has no more drama than most other forums, blogs, etc.
I believe pool is more than just "pool;" it's also about life.
We can't have one without the other; they're intertwined.
Emotions and values will inevitably be injected into the discourse.

That being said, I agree that we should all try harder to make better quality posts.
Posts that have meaning and substance.
Posts that express our feelings, ideas, and experiences—
those things that speak to our pool-playing and, again, our lives.

But for better quality posts, we should check our information for accuracy—
don't rely on hearsay.
We should not simply present something for the sake of participation.
There is little excuse for someone to post something only for it to be replete with errors.
Let's show a little more respect for our fellow AZers.
I'm not asking for perfection, but merely a little more attention to detail.
If we want to follow Mr. Wilson's march forward in improving our game, we must first improve ourselves.

Take care.

Why isn't 'BOTH' an option.

If we all started talking about pool like we work for Madison Av.....
....I'd go back to being a bookworm.

I hate ivory ferrules! :angry::angry::angry:

How is it that someone who has only been a member here for a month can miss the good ol' days???

There has always been drama here. Give 40,000 people a keyboard and a forum and you'll get your share of drama. Hell. We had it when this forum was only 10,000 members strong.

B <---------- loves the irony in this thread

Save the drama for yo mama! ( been waiting years to use that line:))

To me, the drama and such gets really old. I think I stay away from it as possible, for the most part though. It seems to usually be the same people too. I often wonder if they high 5 their friends or fist pump if they think they won an argument on here.:)
