Drivemaker gives you 50K for a cue...I'm giving you 600 what would you get?

If anyone's answer to this question is a really nice Rick Howard 6 pt cue, get in touch with me. I know this is the wrong place to shamelessly promote a cue to sell but hey, the price was right.

How did you know my name????????????

After Mr. Peabody whisked me to 1981 in his Way Back Machine, I would use the money to cover the difference in what I could afford and what the guy was asking for a 4-point, 3-veneer, rosewood Gus.

The remaining $27 would be used as seed money for these two nerds named Paul Allen and Billy Gates, with the future gains going toward the medical bills I am currently incurring from banging my head against the wall for not buying the friggin' Gus when I had the chance!!  :p

Now Scott. How did you know my real name. it really is Peabody. and all this time i thought my way back machine was a top secret project.....lolol you would not believe the kidding about my name whan that cartoon started. but what the hay... i know a guy i was in the navy with whose name is Wesley Wesley Wesley... Weird parents i guess..............................mike

andy gilbert + a case... the rest gambling

I agree, with 6 bills I'd have to go with a Gilbert. Did I mention that my new Gilbert J/B plays jam up?! Although it cost me more than the limit here...lol.

I'd put it in the bank, save a little then go out and buy a cue. Hell maybe i'd just spend it on wild women. LOL

Hey all!

How about a Paul Mottey "Sneaky Pete"?

Just my .02

Does he make sneaky pete's?
I think when I looked at his site the starting price for his baseline cue is $1500.

If you could get one from him then it's a helluva buy.

Well !!!!!!!!!

You have 600 bucks, it is for pool cue(s). What are you going to buy? I picked 600 because I thought it was about what alot of us could spend on a cue. Know its about my limit at least.

You can't spend over 600, but you can buy multiple cues or cue and a case...so what would you get?

.

I would take the $600 and become wasted away in Margarittaville, have more cues than I can use now, but some good ........... Now you're talking!!

Go to Murray Tucker's home and hold him hostage until he finishes the cue...

That was what I was going to type!
But, coz' I never want to go to jail, I would buy 2 Pat Diveney cues

I'd go with a schon stl1 with two shafts which should eat up the 600 almost exactly.

Cubswin,
If you get a Schon STL1 thru me, I can get a brand new one for you with an extra shaft for only 480.... so you have 120 to spare.. :D

A Gilbert...period...probably a j/b...then the rest...oh...there won't probably be ANY rest the way those damn things keep going up in price!

Seriously, a Schon STL1 from Eric and maybe a nice Fury j/b...maybe a 2x2 cheapie case from Joe off eBay.

Shorty

LMAO...more than likely it would be a DZ, but not necessarily.

For $600 beans I'd go for a really juiced up inlayed Joss as a first choice and Helmstetter next. Schon is also a choice but not for me at $600. I need a higher budget and THEN we look at Schon. (Gee...I've done ALL of the above)

I'd LOVE to own one of those old Varner or Sigel model Joss Cues from the 80's. Those were killer to a little kid (at that time). I've been thinking hard of buying that Varner Falcon prototype on Billiardcue.com. Reminds me of an old style Joss. How do those Helmstetter's hit? Are they made in Japan or Korea?

Helmstetters hit very solid and everyone I've ever picked up is ramrod straight with no wobble. (and seem to stay that way) They're made over there somewhere, I don't know exactly.

What a lot of folks don't know is Mace Break/Jump Cues play great! I liked mine better as a playing cue versus a break jump cue (I used it for everything). When I lived in Ft. Walton a LOT of players played with Rick Howard cues. I was fortunate to know Rick, and he practically gave me his personal Mace. Great guy, good quality cue..and the price is RIGHT. I think his website is Macecues.com.

Let' see...$600 dollars huh? I think...don't quote me on this...I could pull off a nice fancy Coker sneaky-pete (Like the one that'll be headed to my door step in a couple of weeks!!! :D) and get a really nice 1 butt/2 shaft custom case by D. Swift, with my name on it to boot!

Perfect, I could toss in a used sneaky or a jump cue then.

And if I was going to buy a schon I'd either get it from you, or the local guy who gives me about the same pricing on the cx series.

And with that additional $120, I can get you a J&J Jump/break for $50 and a J&J 3x5 Pro Cue Case for $60.. You can give me $10 for shipping... :D
