if anyone uses a pro-formax drum sander for inlay sanding or wood sanding
there is a weak spot in the sander it is the adustment crank for the height adj. the threaded rod on the crank runs thru a aluiminum block threaded section in the head of the sander this will wear out and become hard to adjust. the fix which we did is made a new threaded rod and did a thread in a threaded bronze bushing in the body using thread locker green stuff see attached photo it works better then ever keep the rod greased very well it will ....lee
