I like Play your best straight pool by Phil Capelle.

Can't go wrong with Phil's book...it wouldn't hurt to also read Babe Cranfield's book.

Yes. This is definitely something worth waiting for. Phil's book is very good while waiting for Blackjack's book

Thanks for all of the replies, i ordered Phil's book yesterday, it should be here tomorrow!

I've been playing good and winning my matches but I'm not getting my runs up very high, it's like I have a laps in concentration and I'll miss a stupid ball that I should never miss.

So does Mastering Pool, which came out before Advanced Pool.
