Dumb things you do to lose

Cheap set, playing 9 ball....watching somewhat intently what my opponent is going to do with the safe I just played; when I felt a pinch on my backside. To my surprise, my wife was at the poolhall (where she had never been before). The play she had went to ended earlier than she thought it would and her girlfriend (who she was to go out with after) called it a night early as well. So, here she was, nice dress, couple of glasses of wine in her, giving me "the look", and telling me the son's at grandmas for the night.

laid $20 on the table, and told the guy, catch ya next weekend - got some pressing issues to resolve

ok, that wasn't a dumb thing, but it was different than all the other ways I normally lose :embarrassed2:

I don't know why I do it, but if I don't restrain myself, I tend to smack the game ball in at 100 miles per hour. It's intimidating when it splits the pocket, but sometimes I'll put a little too much mustard on it and either fire it into the rail or send the cue ball into the drink.

Or have the game ball go dead center pocket an jump back onto the table! Just because you hit it too hard. That sucks!
