Hi guys,

I wonder if you have some DVD´s or books you can recommend on 14.1? I have played for 15 years but I havn´t had the time or the will to play the game but now I have - very frustrating game:-). I´m fairly good player that can play real decent from time to time but this game..... but it´s fun however and now that I have time to play some it is great.

Cheers

I highly recomend the Book - Play Your Best Straight Pool by Phil Capelle and as far as videos i would get Jim Rempe's How to run a rack and how to run 100. you can also check out the DVD's by John Schmidt. Contact AZ Member DMGWalsh he will direct you in the right direction on how to get John's Discs.

Good Luck, & welcome to the jungle !

if you check out Accu-Sats they should have the Rempe Video as well as many others. i know they sell some books as well.

if you get stuck and cant find the Phil Capelle book, i have 2 copies. one of them is autographed and i dont like to use it though. maybe we could work something out.

Here's the link to accu-stats.

Capelle's book IMO is outstanding. There are some glitches in it with respect to how fractions are shown but the quality of the book vastly overshadows this technicality.

Interesting about the autograph, Steve- I purchased my copy some years back at a billiards supply place and it happens to be autographed- I wonder if they made a boo-boo putting this particular copy out for sale... it's the only one I have so it does see use.

The Accu-Stats videos are also a gold mine in my opinion, very well produced and an excellent value.
