I've just put in an order with Bob as I've been pretty awed by his clean veneer work and how tight they look. It'll still be a long time before I receive mine but I'd love to see who else owns Bobs cues and how they look like?

Do share and if you and describe the cue even better :)

Jive your timing is uncanny..
I've been doing some Dzuricky recon lately..
I would also like to see some examples...

Bob is by far one of the most underrated cuemakers.
Awesome guy and phenomenal work.

Ive always been really impressed with Bobs work. When bored at work Id watch his demonstrational videos on his site. Definitely underrated.

I know...he's been telling me about his YouTube videos...sadly being in China means i get NoTube...it's blocked just like Facebook..

have no pictures of the dz's I used to have, but I will tell you that Bob is a great guy, and cues play great. He finishes, in my experience, when he says he will if not before. Great communication, and great prices. I think he is one of the most under rated cuemakers out there.

Here is a couple

I love my DZ Cue!

I have had this stick a little over one year, and it has become my player. It is a 60" Davis conversion. It features Bob's cueball joint and ferrules on both of the 'premium' stash shafts.

Bob stayed very true to my custom design, while tweaking several aspects to maximize the effect. Those curly windows are all tapered, to allow for the cosistent width of Padauk inbetween the windows. In addition, the grain is meticulously alligned in each of those windows, creating a very clean and unique look.

The sets of inlays at the ring positions are of a particular hand drum I play, in my original design they were circular. Bob felt that the oval shape would give them more depth, he also skewed them to match the angle at which I play them. A very cool touch!

The cue plays very strong. I think that it has a stiff hit, with a bit softer feel. The feedback is not as 'loud' in my back hand as in many other full splice cues I've played. I like the cueball as a ferrule, it stays pretty clean.

Bob is a very friendly, patient, and intelligent man. He is a pleasure to do business with. I bet that you will be very pleased with your new cue, and that it will be on schedule.

Thanks for sharing guys...his veneer work looks awesome...do hope to see more!

Please show us more DZ cues. I`m pretty interested in his cues, looks like very nice work and besides, his youtube and website is top notch! I have learned a ton from this guy, just watching the videos and browsing his site.

Me too

I have also contacted Bob and made some inquiries. And I will seal the deal before the month ends.

Bob's work, price and communication can be described in one word - perfect.

DZ Cues... Great value

Jive,
I got my first custom from Bob Dzuricky.
I did a review about 2 years ago and the thread has a lot of the in process pics that Bob sent me and some that he posted to the site himself.
As you likely know, Bob is also into photography...his pics are outstanding and showcase his work phenomenally.
His work is also phenomenal.
He is a great guy to deal with and cares about his products before and after the final sale.
He goes above and beyond to make you happy.

I had Bob do a replacement shaft for a McDermott D4 I use as an alternate player for when I don't want to take my expensive cues out.
The replacement shaft came out perfect and has the same tip/ferrule/taper configuration as my main player.

My cue has a cored East Indian Rosewood Forearm / Butt sleeve with Ivory outline spearpoints / Lapis spear inner inlays that are over/under Lapis and amboyna burl ovals in the butt sleeve.
5 sets of Amboyna Burl ringwork with 8 small Lapis ovals in each.
Point Blanks are amboyna burl with White, Black, Double blue veneers.
I would like to have sprung for the black paper veneers and a set of matching JP's, but I had to compromise a shade for my budget.
I got a set of EIR JP's with Royal Blue rings from Jim Baxter.

Cue weighs 19.2 with a slight forward balance of about 19 1/4": no weight bolt in butt.
Black with Blue speck pressed linen wrap.
Mason Micarta 3/4" threaded capless Ferrule with Triangle med-Hard tip.
Joint and butt cap materials are Juma.
3/8" 10 TPI FB pin (Bob's standard 0.308" minor OD)
The handle forearm Pin is Brass. Bob did an excellent job getting me the EXACT weight and balance point I described. It was perfect.
Finish on his cues is excellent. Inlays are really tight.

I am currently designing another to have him hopefully build in a few years.

You can see the old review I did and look at my photo album. It is the only cue with blue in it.
The best pics are shown here. The McD D4 replacement shaft collar details and fit is shown in the album, also...
More great work from Bob.

I am sure you will be very happy with the new DZ cue purchase.

Best of luck and have a happy Holiday season.
Jeremy

Thanks Mel, The Lapis has some Gold flecks in it too...
I really like all the subtleties that Bob was able to bring into the cue.
It was his idea to do the ovals in the ring-work.

I am glad I let him have a bit of free reign on it.

Happy Holidays...
Jeremy
