I guess Earl had an early exit from the tournament. Does anyone know what was going on with him? I heard he was upset about something.

Could be he was upset about saying the women didn't belong in the tournament and then he got beat by Gerda!!!!....GOOOoooo Geforce!:D

Yeah he was upset at not playing well.
I do know that he was saying he felt that the break was even more importment in this then in 9 ball.
Not anyone of the players could break and run on every rack.K.T. even offered $100.000 extra to any player who could B & R all 8 racks.NO one came even close to doing this.Efren was the only player that I saw who made the 8 on the break. He was stunned at first, then smiled and broke again without making a ball on the break.

Well, I think Earl had a right to be mad. They set up an interview area right in front of the two premier tables with these two absolutely huge lights facing right at the players and fired them up when there were some critical matches going on. I think all the players affected showed incredible restraint in the situation. If it would have been me, I would have gone over and told them to shut that crap down.

I don't like Earl's antics any more than the next guy but in this case he was absolutely right. Those camera guys went waaaaaayyyyyy over the line.

who ever said IPT was a men's event? The very first IPT event had one man, one woman. Hardly a men's event. THe IPT never was a men's tour and never will be.

It's not about the camera mans choice, those cameras are whats gonna make all this money keep flowing. If the lights are bright, go get some sun glasses. It's not about individual players, it's about making pool into something more than that crap we watch on ESPN.....Gerry

i agree with gerry. how do you think the money will be made if not for TV? everyone deals with it.

besides,,,,earl ain't goin' nowhere in 8ball. there's a reason why three filipinos were in the final 4

IMO, not very many of them would beat him even once. Of those that were capable of beating hime once, none would beat him consistently.

Don't be silly and naive, it's about eventually making money for Kevin Trudeau. If in the meantime it helps pool hooray, but don't be deceived about KT's motivation.
Nothing wrong with that BTW. That is the way the capitalists system works, things get better because somebody can make a buck at it.

So the interview was more important than the game or the players?
I think it shows a total lack of consideration. The main atraction of pool is the game and the pressure/tension when 2 great players get together.
There,s a lot more tension and drama ON the table than off.

Hay Stick Man u are looking 4 trouble .talking about the ladies like that .and u been in ATL were some of the wpba ladies play ..I say hell put Earl in the wbpa .That jus might be a tournment he could win now a days ..:D :D ..

I don't say keep the women out.....

I say let the men in. If you're going to let women play in tournaments where men primarily play, then let the men play in the women's tournaments. UNLESS, the women admit that they can't compete with the men? If that's the case then there's no reason for them to compete in men's events. They would just be taking the spots that the lesser capable men could be taking. If they want to do that, then let the lesser capable men compete in their tournies and take some of their spots. Don't be a hyppocrite is all I'm saying.

Why is this even being discussed as far as the IPT is concerned? IPT has never claimed to be a MEN's event, therefore women are not playing in a men's event.
