Earl, Earl, Earl...

Why is he bothering to attend tournaments when he will just embarass himself? He needs HELP fast!!!

It's gotten to the point where Earl's physchological issues are preventing him from competing at a high level, there is no question about his talent or ability but his mental health is definitely in question.

a re-occurring happening

Seems like it's happening more frequently than ever....almost like every tournament he enters in recent times, he's "on tilt" ..... to borrow a poker phrase....it's kind sad....

At this point, I would have to agree. I had hoped that Earl would win ONE more major (WPC, US Open). However, in his current mental state I can't see it happening. PLEASE Earl, "Cowboy Up!!" Do whatever it takes to get yourself right. Then simply, play up to WHO YOU ARE!

Earl in deeperrrrrr trouble

Chen and the Taiwanese delegation are filing a protest for Earl.
I saw the match with Earl and Chen at 4-4 and the guy plays just awesome and fast to make it 5-4. A large crowd is watching the match and a lot of them standing. But anyway i did not finish the match because i have some errand to do ;) . Only later i found out that there was a protest on that match..
Whewww Earl....you're so goodddd.........in pool..but again in behaviour department he is just so weird lately to say the least.:o

When Johnny Archer was asked on the commentary box on who he'll most likely wanna watch pool, he said with a long pause.... "It's gotta be Earl."

To myself (that's me, not Johnny's quote), Earl is one of the best pool player and fun to watch, but unfortunately he just puts too much pressure on himself with those actions of his. Unnecessary energy wasted, instead of just concentrating on playing the game.

They will let him keep this up until he hurts someone or someone hurts him. Someone needs to get him some help fast. Can't people around him see he's getting worse by the week:mad: ? Johnnyt

Earl should do himself a favor and take the next flight home. There is obviously something wrong with him mentally. Until he gets himself straight, then he should not be joining another tournament.

How often can his sponsor send him to the post based on the frequency of him throwing a shoe???

It's taped and submitted to the officials.

The MP4 video is also available for download.

He MAY get away with the cue thing since the match was over. If it had been during the match he would be history (red card for sure)

From the WPC website:

"The matter was passed over to an official from the World Pool Association, the sport's governing body and they have the power to throw Strickland out of the competition, although a final warning is the most likely outcome."

If he gets a Final Warning, how many people think he can make it through the rest of the tournament without showing his A$$ again?

Not Me!

I do. Earl has a tendency to settle down when he HAS to. Remember in the 2002 WPC, he was put on final notice. There was a director at every one of his matches after that. They were watching him TO put him out. For the rest of the tournament Earl never uttered a word. He beat Francisco in the finals that year. In his victory speech he said "I know I'm a little hard to take at times."

The closer Earl get to the finals, the better he will behave. Now, if it looks like he is going to lost his next match (he must win to stay in) ALL BETS ARE OFF. I believe Earl would rather get kicked out than lose.

Here is a question....If Earl gets a final notice, how many think there will be people in the crowd TRYING to set him off? And will the WPC kick out any fans for doing so?

The WPC are no dummies. Earl next match is on the TV table!!! This can get GOOD
