Unfair situation provides unfair results
okay..I am a biigg earl the pearl fan..and i said last night at the US Open as i will say now to anyone on this forum and to any pro that was in ear shot of me out side of the Convention center when i said it loud enough for everyone to hear me
BAR NONE...IF EARL THE PEARL IS ON..THERE IS NO ONE ON THIS PLANNET THAT CAN BEAT HIM.
I have a huge problem with the match with cortez...first off if earl is so horrible ...why the heck was that entire side filled up with people wanting to see the match...people know that at any moment the old earl can show up and God help who he is playing.
ON a second note.. the first game of the match Cortez wins and an over zellous amount of cheers errupted. Now I sat there and thought..Cortez is a pro player..he isnt some unknown no rank player getting a win over a pro..it was really uncalled for ..the only reason it was done..was in my opinion to get under earl's skin. because they all know it does. NOW here is what gets me...Earl win a match and fair amount of claps and cheers come in and then there was the booing. Now if that doesnt take the desire and wind out of your sails i dont know what will. Here you are dedicating your life to a sport ..wanting to be liked..and respected and you hear boos. Yeah yeah i know some say deal with it..but i have never heard anyone boo Tiger after he drove the ball 400 yards..and trust me there are people there in the crowds that dont like him.
If you were there in real time watching the match..yes earl had some melt down moments...he was doing some crazy rubbing on the rails, and he threw down his towel...and there was some older lady behind him trying to keep him focused and calm..
Yeeet...did any of you happen to see the games he won after Cortez such a lead...Earl was one stroking and poking and running out like he didnt care...i was shocked to see him with no real effort play out like that. If people would just allow earl to fail on his own then i will quite defending him...but i saw first hand that people "on purpose" try to send him into melt down mode..that isnt fair.
Thats just my 2 cents.
