Earl In HOF

How come they can only vote one per year? Just wondering.

Good Question. They have had more than one in the past. I think Rempe and Lori Jon were both inducted at the same time if memory serves me.

Anyway, whether you like Earl or not, it's hard not to be happy he finally made it. Just his US Open championships should be enough, not to mention all his other accomplishments. It will be a long time before anyone comes close to what he has done in his career.

The Bca announced today that Earl bested Daly and Hopkins to get into the Hall of Fame...Well deserved!

Way to Go EARL!!

It's about time! I think Danny DiLiberto should have been inducted by now as well!

Congrats Earl!

Why can't I find anything on Earl getting into the hall of fame? Kinda weird.

It is very strange there is not one mention in any of the pool media. Usually, Pool and Billiards magazine's website is the FIRST to post up pool-related news such as this when it hits the street. Not one mention at the time of this writing about Earl Strickland being admitted in the BCA's hall of fame.

Dag nab it, are we all celebrating Earl's induction prematurely? The fact that he is being considered is a milestone in itself, IMHO. Maybe an industry member with "insider info" has released the results a little early. I hope it is true.

Daly is a golfer and the thread starter used :D as an eye catcher to this thread.... I'm thinking Nittifan was being facetious
You youngsters . . . .

Maurice Daly was a billiard pioneer in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. He was born right after I was. He should be in the HOF too.

Congratulations, Earl!!! Your pool accomplishments are recognized.

Go to Billiard Digest .com It is the front page news!
Congrats to Earl on a prolific carreer and a well deserved HOF induction.

Daly wrote a book on carom billiards (Daly's Billiard Book) that is still one of the best books on billiards. It's on straight rail and balkline billiards; how to collect the balls, keep runs going, etc...

Freddie the Beard recommends it to players; he says carom billiards is a big reason Efren is the player he is today.

Congrats to Earl.

Parica and Hopkins should be next, I hope.

Daly, the poolplayer, was the other candidate. y:

Maurice Daly was a billiard player. And his billliard book was the standard for billiard players, much like Byrne's Standard Book of Pool and Billiards is today.
