Earl is a disgrace!

Does Earl ever apologise for his behaviour?

Extremely rarely-He apologized to Michaela at the WPC one time but that was because it was in his best interests not to have the ref hating him. Other than that he just remains convinced he was justified in all the stupid shit he has said and done.

If he ever did disrespect the game, it was because "they made me do it".

PS-Get the side pockets out of pool!! They're ridiculous!!

I am convinced that Earl has more problems than just being bi-polar. In watching him in his singles match, I think he just says what he is perceiving. That could be a type of aspergers syndrome. I think all would agree that Earl has zero tact, but anyone that has been around someone with aspergers can recognize the similar lack of tact. They have no filter between what they see and think, and what comes out of their mouth. That sounds like an accurate description of Earl.

I believe he stopped after he was warned. So it appears he actually can control himself. Just has to be told to. Kinda like a 3 year old.

that doesn't exactly make sense because he doesn't act like that outside of pool matches does he?

Why do you assume that I don't know Earl very well?

What are these certain mental-emotional illnesses that you are referring to?

Bi polar disorder, sensory integration disorder, perhaps aspbergers, adhd, a series of antisocial traits, I also believe that he could be a hyper-sensitive highly sensitive to noise, temperature, light or lack of, certain odors, among others...
I'm not assuming that you don't know him very well, I'm sure you all have operated in the same circles for years and years. I wouldn't begin to know what kind of relationship you've shared with him.
I've only had the chance to observe him in person a few times, these are observations from what I've seen and read, interviews I've seen, accounts of other people. My initial thought was that he was a very passionate player that just hated to lose and didn't handle losing very well. In a situation like the Mosconi Cup he demanded perfection from his team mates and those around him, and he also had an unbelieveable ego, but that just didn't explain it all for me. My thought was that someone who has that passion for the game and that respect for the game and cares for the game enough to become the very best wouldn't dare disrespect the game or opponents the way he does sometimes, there had to be other reasons. These aren't isolated incidents. Some mental illness and emotional disabilities would explain an awful lot of it

Explains it, sure. Doesn't excuse it, though. I know that's not what you're saying, but I figured I'd just throw that in for anyone that thinks it does.

TAP, TAP, TAP!

:clapping::clapping::clapping::clapping::clapping::clapping::clapping::clapping:

It is heartwarming, to see two individuals so in agreement, that Earl be recommended for sainthood !..But, don't they know his daily 'temper tantrums' would piss off the Pope ?

I just watched the last days action. He was definitely out of line against Boyes. However, when he was speaking about getting bad rolls, that was true. He was getting bad rolls. Probably doesn't do any good for the team psyche to say it out loud, but it was true.

When he said Boyes couldn't play, that was truly unsportsmanlike.

I just don't understand why people are acting surprised by this behavior. Earl has been acting like this and worse for years. When they put him on the MC team, they knew he would act this way.

He actually played fairly well, perhaps the best of anybody on the team. Yes, perhaps his personality is somewhat toxic to team play, but it is sort of cop out for the other guys to blame their poor performance on that (not that any of them has said that, but some people have speculated that on these forums).

Slow day on the other forum, Dick? :o

I guess if you were walking behind a man who suffered a coronary heart operation who was walking too slow for your gait, it would piss you off if he didn't walk fast enough to your liking, wouldn't it?

Aside from Earl, Tom Gearhart is a saint in my book. When he speaks, I listen. He knows the players quite well and understands the American pool culture better than most. :)

You need to get out of your little corner of the country in Arizona and explore the rest of the pool world and see who's who and what's happening.

The guy was just out of line in that match against Boyes, theres no need for that type of behavior.
Im shocked no one has ever given him a sock in the nose, thats the thing thats amazing.

What is the point of these posts and photos? What do they PROVE?

Well, they prove a little more than your trolling activities, jumping in and out of threads with flippant remarks, most times having nothing to do with the topic at hand. :)

Next?

Like I said before, its expected of Earl to act like a douchebag.
Without the sideshow,he's just another great player.
With the sideshow,he now becomes unique and people love it.

If the USA won the Mosconi cup,his actions would be justified by the Mass
and people would say,hes just passionate about the game.

Earl seems to have more illness than the ''boy in the bubble'' but is aloud
to play everywhere? Why you may ask?
Because people love to watch his crap, plus pool is so desperate for viewers,
they let him play, disrespect other players and make a fool of himself, cause
that's the demand of the fans.
Earl is one man and not to blame. Its the people that let him play and the fans
that prey on this behavior, who are truly the ones to blame.

I love watching Earl play, but if he pulled these antics in any other sport, he would be fined out the arse.

If I an interpreting your post correctly, then you are saying it's okay that Earl dances like a monkey for the masses, because it's expected, and after the dance, the masses can then take their clubs and beat him to death because of his performance that they asked for.

So, what do they prove? Specifically please - after all, we are trying to keep to the topic at hand.

I was replying to Dick, but you keep on trolling, trolling, trolling along. Maybe you can reply to another one of my posts before the morning is over.

On the contrary, earl blamed his behavior, on an open mic, on his teammates poor playing performance.
