Earl moment.

Woooooaaah what a smack to Cuetec from Earl. I'm not so sure I would do that under any circumstances.

Did you see what happend at the end.

I like how Archer dealt with that. Unfortunately it didn't turn out the way he wanted it to.

I can honestly say that I think he needs someone to show him discipline. He needs discipline in his mental game to complete his game again. I think breathing exercises and meditation would do him a world of good. It did me a world of good when I was in powerlifting, which is full of woofing in the gym, outside of the gym, at the bar, the restaurant, anywhere you go and at a competition and I wouldn't doubt that it would do him a world of good.

Earl and Johnny are great friends!!! Even though Earl is not on top of his game like in the 80's or 90's, Don't worry he could still snap off some road players that come to town or some regional Pro-Tourneys! He will be back!!! I wish everyone would just leave him alone! He is a great guy and a WORLD CHAMPION!!!

What a volatile jerk. I don't even do that to the bangers that play next to me who run into my backstroke then set up their own shot. I've always believed that the difference between great amateurs and pros is the mental game and Earl's decline only furthers that belief.

I would love to see the rest of that video!

It is really a shame that Earl is like this! I know from personal experience how he can be. I wish him well!

Wandered on to Earl's wiki and found this quote:

He had the "skill, endurance, patience, temperament, and tenacity of which champions are made." -The National Billiard News, October 1984

Guess he lost a coupe of those qualities over the past 20 or so years?

And I thought people were supposed to mellow out with age...

I know how this YouTube video might come across as if Earl and Archer hate each other -- but let me tell you this; both Earl and Archer are mutually close & good friends. And after spending some time with both of them, I must say that I like Earl as much as I like my hero Archer, if not even more (I guess because I can somehow relate to Earl since also he has this "disorder" of lacking a filter between the brain and his mouth).

great guy? even sharkin johnny like that? the guy's a crybaby and needs to be smacked around a little.

even if he does play great there's no need to act like a little girl every time things don't go perfect for him.

Look, I LOVE Earl Strickland. He is one of my dearest friends. But, at the same time, he's also dangerously unbalanced. I mean, let's be frank, Earl Strickland -- and again, this is a man I would take a bullet for -- is a bad role model and is mentally unstable. As my mother would say, "God love him, but he's a raging maniac..." and a dear, dear friend.
