EARL STRICKLAND- HOW TO MAKE YOUR LUCK by Joey A

I thought luck was the residue of hard work? Or was it residue is the work of hard luck?

Anyway, 54 heads, 46 tails. Close enough.

The good players get the rolls. And it's always been that way. You figure it out.

Good Advice and it would have been good advice 5 years ago. In the interim, when others were pointing out these same things you just blindly supported Earl. Why are you speaking out now? Dont tell me this is the first time you really saw him play?

Do you call this NOT SUPPORTING him? :p

I gotta repeat, you picked out EVERYTHING-each one of the Earlisms. The one other thing maybe worth mentioning is that almost everytime, the crowd starts out on his side and he turns them by the 3rd or 4th rack.

Anyway yes you are supporting him IMHO but at last it is not 'Earl can do no wrong' .

Unfortunately, there are no men or women on earth who can do no wrong.

Ahem, wouldn't it be funny if Christ has already returned to Earth and he was ME ? Oy-Vey !
Doug
( my wife, my brother and 'some' of my granchildren & friends think that I can do no wrong )

*Oh Lord, it's hard to be humble, when you're perfect in every way.
I can't wait to look in the mirror, cause I get better looking each day.
To know me is to love me, I must be a hell of a man.
Oh Lord, it's hard to humble, but I'm doing the best that I can.... imo

Anyone 30 and under, click here to listen to the song:

No need to work overtime. While you are playing online poker, throw a bag of nice looking grapes into the water, wait 3-4 weeks, scoop the skins and residue off the top and wallah, you got wine. It's kind of like nail soup, just add grapes to the water and wait. You know wait, like I do for that REP you promised. :D :D :D Don't bother with aging the wine, I doubt that you could tell the difference.:p :)

Merry Christmas.

"When you control your cue ball speed better you will get better rolls. "

This is so true.. how many times have you lined up a shot where you weren't quite sure of the outcome because of interfering balls, clusters you are breaking out, etc. The players who seem to come out on the good side of these situations tend to have excellent speed control.

I didn't get to see the match, how did Johnny put him in his place?

If I remember correctly Johnny told him "not to talk while he was shooting" and he said something along the lines of "the only way Earl can beat anybody good is by sharking them", after that Earl shut up for a while and seemed to start playing better until more "bad" rolls went his way and then he started slamming balls in and not caring about position.

and this is why I think Earl is bored with pool. He needs to talk to the fans non stop in order to not fall asleep and if anything goes wrong he just starts playing like he doesn't care and this is how I get after practicing to long.

Joey,

You've written some gems in the past. This is another one. Funny how Word documents copied into this forum turn this ' into this ?

Merry Christmas..............Paul

It's easier to write in MS Word, especially when you are writing long scripts, don't you think? I hope you weren't suggesting plagiarism were you?

Merry Christmas to you.

I always age my homemade alcoholic beverages. I figure that is what hour glasses were really made for before they put that silly sand in them.
