Earl Strickland Salutes the Fans at the 2008 Mosconi Cup

It Must Be A Slow Day At The "Type & Gripe"

Well, at least most of you will now have something to laugh and talk about over at JimBo's Army, where your motto is "Quality Over Quantity." :) :) :) :)

Doug
(I prefer the quantity, it gives me something to read while playing poker) imo

In the "java" world as it pertains to computer science, would you initial-cap "Java" or leave it lower case like this, "java." And what the heck is a GUI interface?

Oh, wait a minute. Wrong forum. Sorry. :embarrassed2:

Not necessarily

You cap Java because it is a programming language, and Gui interface is
redundant since it stands for 'Graphical User Interface' to begin with.

Do I win a prize? .... :D

Hey, thanks for that. I'm capping Java, but shouldn't "Gui" be all-capped, like GUI?

Now I am struggling with personal identifiable information (PII), to include avatars. :grin-square:

And yes, you win the prize.

WOW!!!!!!!!Who would of thought...

You could come on here and get lessons from; pool edict to world history.

THERE IS SOME BULLS**T IN THIS THREAD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Mike Tyson was good for boxing...only if your a boxing (bandwagon) fan and not a fan of boxing

Tonya Harrding was good for skating...That is a insult to skating, period. I tell my daughter every morning "you want to be just like her". sure

Earl is a great pool player, no question, Earl has a mental problem, no question

You're right, the fact alone that Earl said aloud that the referee didn't see it doesn't indicate he knew he fouled.

When was the last time you watched an NBA game and saw a ref call a foul and the shooter said "Nah he didn't foul me", or an NFL receiver say "Hey ref, that wasn't pass interferrence"? I think you are just Earl bashing!

You got to be kidding! I don't care what happened. A pro is suppose to be bigger and better then that. What did they do, say something? Stick and stones!

Earl supporters are the same people who complain in other threads about why pool doesn't made money like golf or bowling.

Earl supporters are hurting pool HURTING the game.

I like to watch Earl play as much as the next guy, but it's actions that are killing the sport.

It's hard enough to get sponsors to pay out their $$ now an days. They don't want to pay for a 40 year old to act like he's 4. Perfect example was the XFL. The number one sport in America is football and some people got together and created a football league that would allow players to act just about any way they wanted. And most acted like jerks. What happened next was no surprise, most people didn't like it and the sponsors left.

Just about every sport has league office that reviews things like this and take action against the player. However pool doesn't have this check and balances.

Until WE the people demand more from the pros we will NEVER see a true real time pro tour like golf, tennis, or bowling.

Please understand if there was a real legitimate pro tour then there would be many more opportunities for us amateur players (again, see other sports).

Don't even get me started about about representing America in a much better way.

Let make this sport better!

If you got the M.O.N.E.Y. to get this Pro Tour started today, Im sure we can get these guys to act like school kids right now. It doesn't matter how they act until someone steps up and puts the millions in the bank to start it these guys can act like church boys theres still no Pro Tour happening sorry it is what it is.

Also one other thing go to a PGA event live in person and when Tiger Woods or any other PGA Pro is about to tee off or putt and a fan yells/screams out guess what happens next Your Ass gets escorted of the property. So if these tournament directors will start doing this at any and all pool tournaments you wont have stuff like this happening, think about it.

Yeah, why do you wear all that stupid crap on your fingers, elbows, wrists, ankles and eyes and flip off the audience while berating them verbally ? :)

That's true. I like Earl and he autographed one of his pictures (at the time) "3 Time U.S. Open Champion" and he autographed my Florida issue "On The SNAP Magazine" along with The Miz and Ray Martin (if my faulty memory is correct)......

I know exactly what you mean...

I have the case (it was the trophy that yr. Has a monogrammed 9 ball rack on it) that was presented to Earl for winning the 2002 US Open, autographed of course. Also an autographed Mosconi Cup shirt from 2005 when he was the MVP. Several sticks, both new and old. Cuetec-Gulassy.

I was thinking the same...leave to my Grandson. Along with the THOUSANDS of images of players I have captured over the years.

One day....one day....they are going to be worth some $$$. (Not that they aren't now:smile: )
