Earl Strickland vs. Jose Parica at Amsterdam Billiards

I actually only saw one shot that stood out like that, where earl slam a ball hard and tried to play a 2 rail billiard or something.... i had no idea what he was even doing.

yes, not many wild shots, but I noticed in some shots they could play 2 rail positions or even 1 rail but instead they selected multiple rail position ( like 4-5 rails). I think in tournament play they would select more conservative routes.

I dont know if the op was involved in production, but to anybody who is, I personally like a higher camera angle, and i dont need any swiveling or any other cameras either. Is it just me? Just keeping one solid view of the entire table the whole match is so much stronger i feel. No offense of course. Production looks great, thanks for the link!!

i had no problem with the camera angle. great production.

I got a strange warning when I went to the link, but I put the same link and there is no problem.

I see what happened. The link he put up had a tt in youtube. I took out the extra t in the one below.

I would prefer to see them play on a tighter pocket table. Knowing just how big those pockets are makes everything they do less impressive, in my own opinion. Table 11 would have been much better, like when Shane and Mika played.

I would like to see Mike Dechaine and Dennis Hatch.

OTOH, it was just an exhibition match, which was purely for entertainment. I think the pockets encouraged them to show off (why play a stop shot when you can go four rails?). I had fun watching the video. What I don't understand is how Earl got his 70" cue past that back guardrail. He must have been jacked up any time he was shooting from that end of the table. It's a problem for a normal length cue.

Probably the reason

I somewhat agree about the table, except when I play on it, nothing goes in.
As far as not using table 11, it is probably not an option because, if you remember, there were stands erected and it was a gigantic deal, and not reasonable for a lot of people to watch if the seating isn't there. It would be very disruptive to the rest of the room.

Playing on the front table makes it possible to have a low cost game that people can easily watch around the railing and the bar.

excellent video, 720p and even 1080p available! Thanks for the match and upload, ad clips were fun to watch also.

At that point of the game I was begging for such a shot to happen :)
