Ebaby sw...what do ypu think?

Joint don't look right...not to mention the entire listing screams red flag...gotta be the absolutely shortest SW description of all time.

It could be a diamond in the ruff, but it's gambling based on the information and the pictures supplied in the listing. There are so many different SW cue copies floating around that I wouldn't touch it with a ten foot pole......

My opnion-I would'nt touch it! Too risky, this person won't reply to my messages. Smells bad to me!!!

pictures pictures pictures. internet transactions are difficult due simply because you're not there. without solid information you should assume i'ts not a real sw. otherwise you'll be paying 1k to find out.

I'm not sure who dreamed up the information on this cue, but I like it to be a SW.

Whether or not the person who created the listing actually owns the cue or the account, for that matter, is a different story.

If the seller were willing to engage, it would be easy enough to find out where things stand.

On second thought, I'd go after the cue based on the sheer idiocy of the description and picture quality.

There are plenty of better pictures floating around for a would be crook to lift.

It's almost so bad that it must be good.

He's been an ebayer since '05, so you may be right...like you said, it's so bad it just might be good.

take a look at the pin in the overall pic, the cue is not screwed together....then when he does a closer pic he leaves the joint out of the picture, watch out!

I traded emails with him yesterday...he thought it was a 1967 Joss West. He sent me some additional pictures, I'll try to post them. He said he talked to his dad and his dad told him it was Southwest made in 82. It does have a Joss screw in bumper on it, that is what made him think it was a Joss. I don't know anything about SW cues, Do they have screw in bumpers like newer Joss Cues?

Ebay Southwest

I emailed the guy and asked him if it had a pin number. He said that he had drilled out the pin to make it weigh less. He is out of town and will be sending me some photos in a couple of days. When did SW start putting numbers on the pin?

SW start putting numbers in 1993

The rings in the butt line up in the photograph on ebay. The rings in the butt are NOT supposed to line up on a Southwest. The points are also too narrow at the base for a SW (Too much gap between the points).

my 2 cents.

T-A-I-C-A-N ? Good luck bidding on this knockoff. Although I've hit with a Taican and loved it.

it looks like it could be a 6 point adams cue that was just discontinued. look at the points and the rings and compare.

I don't want to stir the pot, but my gut keeps telling me DPK had something to do with this cue. Hence, the rings line-up and the points are further apart.

The statement about drilling out the pin seems suspicious. I think he did some bad research, saw that newer SW's have a small hole in the pin, saw that his cue had a large hole in the pin, and made up a story to account for the discrepancy.

Some good pictures would make this one really easy.
