eBay auction

he wanted 1700 for it and must have had an offer for that or more.....then pulled the auction...

:) pretty common occurance nowadays so i suggest next time u wanted a cue real bad, send an offer in to the seller and see what he says... if he says he will wan to finish off the auction then u can be the last min bidder.

I made him an offer, about new cost, he wanted $1950.00 shipped when I asked.
maybe he didn't like you <G>
i emailed him about 15 min after he posted it... maybe he had so many offers he raised his price :-)

This type of auction is getting old, and is going to kill this type of forum, for selling cues. If your not going to let the auction run it's course, then put a reserve on it and let it fly. Fishing for a price is a bad for the auction process, and not fair to the bidders. My opnion! Thanks dacue

One thing for sure is that ebay could care less, they get their insertion fees, etc. no matter if it ends early or not.

It's bad for the bidders because it's starting to get to the point where you have to message the seller for ANYTHING you see you want, because you can bet everyone else is.

I think everyone should message the seller .. to develop relationship, to understand seller's intent, to get feel of the seller (albeit cyber) and etc.

I, for one, will not buy from a seller who does not respond to my questions. I want my seller to be communicative and honest.

I gotta tell you, when I sell stuff on ebay, I'm not looking to start a "relationship". :) If I left some info out of the description, that's one thing but I for one get tired of the people trying to get it for nothing.

Sometimes it reminds me of yard sales I've had. There will be stuff for a quarter and people will come up wanting to know if you'll take a dime for it.

I'll usually say, "whoops, I marked that wrong, they should be 50 cents, but I'll let you have you for a quarter." :D :D

Im only replying to you whiners. Had to relist 2 cues because of more non-paying bidders. That's what I get for letting an auction run it's course. Are you concerned?

After finding out the facts, it's not funny at all....... for the buyer....

Oh well, lesson learned, or rather confirmed...

Some people have a warped sense of business....

That cue was perfectly straight! The first buyer was a crook. You are all a bunch of whiny hypocrites. Half of the people that criticize me for ending auctions early are the ones asking for a buy it now price. You all sit around and solve everyone elses problems so well. Shut the F--k up!
