Ebay deal?

It's at $190.00 right now with 12 bids and a day and a half left. It will go considerably higher than that by the time the auction closes. There is no Buy it Now offering on this one. Street price is about $320.00 for this case.

Appears that is a DEAL as Postage (delievery) in not Mentioned, so I assume it is FREE.....

Or can seller CHARGE above and Beyond for Postage...

Since it does not say "free shipping", I would assume that you will be expected to pay for UPS or USPS delivery. I don't like listings like this because I have seen situations where you win the auction, expect to pay UPS fees and then find that the seller also charges a "shipping and handling fee". I prefer to see the shipping and handling charges (if any) plainly stated in the ad. In this case, it looks like you are supposed to Email or message the seller to find out what the shipping costs will be after you win the auction.

Remember, though that this particular auction is far from over. You CANNOT just buy this case for $190.00. You have to bid on it...then someone else is going to bid....usually the bidding gets fast an furious in the last 30 minutes or so of the auction and the price can double or triple in that time. What you should do is decide what is the MOST you would be willing to pay for that case. Email the seller ahead of time and ask about the shipping costs. Take the shipping costs into consideration when you are deciding what's the most you want to pay. Then, enter a maximum bid for whatever that amount is. The Ebay program will automatically enter bids for you up to the maximum amount you have allowed. Let's say that you enter a maximum bid of $300.00 and you win it at $250.00...then $250.00 is what you pay. The Ebay program will bid just enough over the next highest bid to beat it, up to your maximum bid.

That way, you have a chance of winning the item without paying more than you wanted to...if you lose it, so what? You can still buy the item somewhere else. You had a chance to pick up a deal.

You are very rarely going to really get a killer deal on Ebay. Usually, you will save some money, but you're not likely going to get a Lamborghini for $1,000.00. Just like you're not likely to get this $320.00 case for $190.00. It's likely going to be at least $275.00, maybe $300.00 by the time the auction is done. You may save $20 to $30...still a pretty good deal.

If you have the time and a fast connection, you can watch the last half hour of the bid and try to get your final bid in in the last 2 or 3 seconds (snipe the next highest bidder), when the other guy doesn't have enough time to respond to the bid. It's tough to do, and it's easy to get caught up in the bidding war and end up bidding more than you really should.

Judging from the seller's feedback # & rating, I would think it is just an oversight that he did not put in the shipping price of this item. This person sells tons of items on ebay, all with great feedback & other items show shipping cost. This was probably a 'one of a kind' item he was selling, created the auction too fast & didn't realize that he didn't put shipping cost on auction. Just send the seller an email to get a shipping cost. A seller with a lower feedback, I would be leary but I don't think this is the case here.

Yep. I would imagine that he probably intended to put a BIN price there, too and forgot that as well. One of the problems with listing things on Ebay is that it's hard to change things once you put the ad up and star the auction....you can only change certain things. So if you make a mistake in the ad, you could have a problem. I have 3 cues on there for sale now. One is an Espiritu and I misspelled the name...oops. :o

Well I would assume No Stated FEE meant Shipping Included. I would tell the SELL TO PACK SAND if they Wanted a Shipping FEE post SALE. :D

Shipping is almost never free on eBay...from my experience. I'd assume that shipping is extra if I were buying. That's the norm.

This seller is a good personal friend of over 20 years so I'll attest to his integrity.

And to add, any buyer who thinks they aren't responsible for shipping...ain't getting the item!.

Both JimS & piglet have valid points, but I feel it is a Sellers Responsibility to be honest in their posting, about Condition, Shipping, Handling & Insurance Charges, etc.

All a seller need to do is say contact seller for shipping charges, or disclose shipping charges, etc up front.

I have sold stuff to folks over the Net before, I always listed prices, and that they included shipping charges or not. In or out of the USA.

good point, but in turn its also the buyer's responsibility to ask questions and NEVER assume anything.

I looked at the auction again and it does say to check with seller for shipping costs. I talked with him and he said that when he listed this auction he was in a hurry and just forgot to say anything specific about shipping. His other auctions list the shipping costs but he just forgot this one. Don't forget that this case retails for $390 and it went for $249.50 so another $20 for shpping isn't much of a hardship.
