I won an auction for a pool DVD on sept 23, paid immediately after via paypal, have sent several e-mails requesting confirmation of payment and date of ship out but have got no reply. Not sure if I should reveal his user id yet, but his feedback # is 606 with 99.2%. This is my first buy on ebay where more then a week has passed with no communication so just wanted to get some opinions on what my next move should be. Don't want to jump the gun towards a neg feedback but...with such good feedback I'm just surprised I have got no response. Thanks.

Get the contact info and give him a call. I think the 23rd was a Friday. He may not have even seen your payment till Late Saturday and could not send it. If he sent it off on maybe Tuesday or Wednesday you would not get till maybe this coming Monday at the earliest. You are ready to give him a Neg, use some common sense. Maybe he is out of town, maybe he is having computer problems, maybe, (and this happens all the time) Your ebay info is not up to date and he can't get a hold of you. not all people live and die with their ebay ad's like some of the buyers do. I sure you will get your purchase give it time.

I took a look at the auction you won and I think the seller is a poster here.

Such is life ...

I am a Sr. Systems analyst by profession, and I can honestly
tell you that no matter the situation, personal or professional,
some people are just not equiped to handle Email, no matter
if they should be or not.... lol Just because they get an email
address does not mean they will know exactly what they should
do about it. And some people think they should only check it
once a week, not 2-3 times a day. And some people will
'break' it, and not know what to do ... lol Considering that
all businesses with an email address are not well run machines,
some are just Mom and Pop shops trying to get bigger and better.
And lots of these Mom and Poppers do not think they need
training or just don't have the money for being properly
trained to use a tool. And sometimes, some people just
can't handle the responsibilities that come with it.

It is unusual to have little or no communication for a week, but it's very smart to remain patient. Chances are everything is fine. The vast majority of sellers on E-Bay are legitimate.

The DVD may just show up in the mail. You never know when there is a family emergency, or even something simple like their computer breaks down.
Out of over 200 tansactions on e-bay, I've never been stiffed, but there were times where I sure thought I was going to be.

You can get the sellers contact information from e-bay by filling out this contact form:

http://cgi1.ebay.com/aw-cgi/eBayISAPI.dll?UserInformationRequest

What they'll do is send you an e-mail with the sellers phone number (and they'll send him one with yours). I would suggest calling the seller and asking if they received the payment.
