So I get up this morning and sit at the comp with my cup of coffee and do my daily browse of the cue category on ebay. It finally hits me that I've had enough of weeding through all the crap listings of pool accessories by "Hampton Ridge". There is another category for all that crap. Also all the low end and knock off cues by sellers like Carl's Cues and ASKA. There is an option of searching used but even some of the good customs are new. I am probably gonna get flak from this posting but I had to vent. Just wondering if anyone else has this problem or knows a better way to browse and shop. If so please let me know. Sorry just frustrated:angry:
 
Searching on Ebay and Craigslist brings the suck.....that's why I shop AZ only :thumbup:

usually when i'm going through cues on e-bay i put in a minimal price of 150.00 which filters out most of the stuff you had mentioned.even the cues that start with no reserve will catch up to the 150.00 mark after a couple of bids so i don't think i miss much.
 
A better way to browse is to use the "advanced search" option. This way you can delete all postings that have certain words in them. Perhaps words such as "hampton ridge" or "carl's". What I'd like to be able figure out is how to filter all the listings that have no bids. You'll notice that even if you try to quick filter by listing from most to least expensive, for example, that the first few dozen listings will be for ridiculously overpriced stock cues at BIN prices. There must be, or there ought to be, a way to show only auction-type listings that have actual bids. This alone would seperate a lot of the wheat from the chaff, IMO.
 
If you just want to look at the good stuff, have it sort the listings by "price: highest first".
