I think this is the same scam that 1pRoscoe had to deal with back a few months ago.

heres the link:

Look at the feedback that he's listed: they're all for the same case and final selling price of .99 cents. coincidence? I think not.

If someone could report to ebay it would save someone a huge head ache and prevent fraud.

Just looking out for my fellow AZer's:)

Scamcue

Whoever it is has the scam down pretty good.
How does he sell the same alligator case over & over for 99-cents to $ 10.

Good eye

Too bad because it looks like a nice cue.
I haven't seen too many James White cues with a radial pin and what is a phenolic handle? who knows.
I only look at Ebay when someone posts a link from AZ.

Wonder what Spanky has to say about this cue

....

Si used to own this cue before that Tank138 used to own it has well.

yes this cue has a phenolic handle which makes it very easy to spot.

these crimes always upset me as i'd hate to be a victim of an auction like this. Having your heart get ripped out after spending a lot of $$$ would be

I hit some balls with this one at the meet-n -greet one year . I wanna say the sue belonged to TANK138 but I'm not 100% positive . He may be able to chime in as to who he sold it to.

Yeah it was my cue, Spanky passed me it a few years ago. What a stick this was. Mega clean work and the handle was a thing of beauty. Shame its memory gets hocked like this....cause I would seriously love to own this again. In fact, someone PM'd me about it a couple of months ago and asked if I still owned it. I can't remember who I sold it to.

Si

Wild west

Yes ,I did own it. I Traded it to Russ West (WILD WEST) here on AZ.
It was Traded on 2/18/08.It is a 59 " cue ,Ivory points with veneers.
The Handle is phenolic & the cue plays very well.
Since then Wild West has been Banned here on AZ.

I don't see anything wrong with the listing or the guys feedback. Unless someone can step up and say they are the owner of the cue, the guy has done nothing wrong. The gator print cases all have seperate item numbers. They could have easily sold on auction for the starting bid. Looks legit to me at this point.

100% positive feed back out of 49 I doubt its a scam.

Be Careful

100% positive feed back out of 49 I doubt its a scam.

Be careful on the feedback's .They can be hacked to show positive feedback's ,when they actually they have none.

The person Ross tried to buy it from did a PayPal scam on him with this cue.

Well to help you guys out Wildwest real name is Roland Garcia and by the looks of the southwest cap on ebay I say that Roland is selling this James White cue again. I personally seen this cue but that was 2 years ago and this cue is a stunner. And after the fiasco with the last sale on this cue I would say it may not be a good idea to bid on this cue. And he was always looking to get a satin southwest cue so that is something else that makes me say that this is Roland (WildWest) behind this ebay auction. He used to live in Houston and now ebay says Harligen, hope this helps.

Can you tell us how you "know" this?

Richard playing set?...i dont know what auction you are referring to.
I hope to get $35 for the hat.

Yeah, it's him alright....

I've had a "conversation" with him throughy email because I was high bidder (Hell, I already paid for it, right?)... He's now blocked me from bidding.... and now offered to sell me the cue through escrow...

Him - I got some action on the cue here locally...cue looks like it might get sold. just giving you a heads up.

Me - Figures, because you're a worthless piece of shit anyways.... It'll be nice to meet you someday!

Him - Be careful what you ask for...u just might get it.

Me - Don't make me call your mother again, Roland... I'll be in Houston for xmas. Look me up at Bogey's if you're interested.

Him - i cant wait.

Me - I assure you, you'll want to. Good luck with the cue

Him - Look...if u really want the cue, we can use an escrow service. you flip the bill for the service.

Me - Have you lost your mind? Dude, you rip me off, I have to go through hell just to get you to send MY MONEY back (which you didn't, I had to sick the WA AG office on Paypal to get a refund) and now you acutally offer the cue? Go **** yourself, dude. You had your chance to do the right thing and you proved to be a thief.

Definitely him, and I'd steer clear from him at all cost.

Three years ago I went through the same thing on a James White on Ebay and the guy started contacting me through email with the 3rd party escrow service.
I remember telling hirm the next time you try to scam me out of $1500.00 go crawl back into your cave and improve your english.
I got suspicious when he wouldn't give me his phone number and was typing in broken english.
I called the 3rd party escrow and the first thing they said was "you didn't send them any money did you".
It wasn't escrow, it was a third party extended warranty service for Ebay.
She said that to that point this had only happened on vehicles, trailers, and it was the first pool cue.

AZ makes us all more aware of these situations, and we are all know of the potential problems.
Nothing gets by this crowd.

sticking together

wether we like it or not. we're a community and things like this makes these forums a better place. Looking out for each other and sharing our passion for pool.
