Mike,

Welcome to A-Z.

I've found these boards to be very helpful in developing contacts with others who have our mutual interests.

There is also a wealth of information available to collectors and enthusiasts. I am sure you can offer a lot as a buyer and seller of high-end custom and collectible cues.

Chris

Hey Mike!

Welcome and don't forget me whenever you have the bargain of the century! :D

Any feedback, good and bad would be appreciated for this seller.

He's got nice cues for sale but only 3 feedbacks and doesn't take PayPal so got me a bit worried.

I'm hoping he is a respected board member in disguise :D

You can PM for confidential information.

Jazz, you won't have any problems with Mike Gartland. Add us to this growing list of references. He's up-front, legitimate, and punctual in all things. We've had the pleasure of selling Mike some cues and buying some from him, as well, and have nothing but good things to say about him.

Mike, welcome aboard. And I know you've got some thick skin, so don't let some of these guys rattle your cage. :)

Best regards,
Sean

Quality Cues

I just completed a transaction for a much sought out Tacarella cue through Mike Gartland of QualityCues. The cue is SUPERB in excellent condition as described. It is a real gem!

The transaction went very smooth and I felt at ease dealing with Mike. It has been pure pleasure dealing with someone like Mike and would like to add my name to list of satisfied customers who will provide references.

Mike – thanks again and keep a look out for additional items that may be of interest to me.

I wish all of my customers were as knowledgeable and as easy to deal with as you were. The Tascarella that you just purchased from me is as fine of a cue as I have ever sold. I knew that you would love it. I have my eye out for a Hercek, a B. or G. Szamboti, and the other cues that you are looking to acquire. Thanks for your kind words on AZB.

It is the Tascarella and others (a very fancy Scruggs) that was listed on e-bay that started this thread. I had a watch on both the Scruggs and the Tascarella when the initial post was created and your post help to create a very good initial buy and now a lasting relationship. Mike of course removed the Scruggs after an offer came by that he could not refuse and I went after the Tascarella.

So Jazz, thanks for the initial post because I may have let this cue slip because of the unknowns associated with the initial low feedback. With all the positive responses posted, I had to find out for myself. I made the initial contact with Mike, created a good relationship and now I now have a Brand New Ebony Tascarella that goes along with my other ebony cues.

I have attached a picture of the point and veneer work that Mike forwarded to me as a small sample of the quality of the cue. Please note there are 4 veneers and the pictures Mike sent to me prior to deciding made me jump on the opportunity. The pictures may not be of the quality of Jeff's but it was enough to know I had a keeper if I wanted it.

Mike - thanks again for the new Tasc!

That's nice Tascarella but not the one I was interested in. Mike had another one that I was interested in but he had already accepted a deposit from another person and refused to entertain an offer on it. I respect that.

Was it the fancy one with french diamonds in red windows in the butt and french diamonds in the points?
I wanted that one as well and would have grabbed both at the prices Mike listed.
Having both would have been too good to pass up.

That is in fact one of the two Tascarella cues that I had for sale when you first called me. I'm working on a $10,000 to $20,000 cue deal. The cues include a Gus Szamboti Ivory hoppe cue. The cue is killer.

The Tascarella that you wanted went for $4,700. The guy who is making payments on the cue has purchased more than $15,000 of cues from me. He made a $700 deposit on the cue. He always pays off his cues. In fact, this evening he agreed to purchase the Art Cantando cue that I e-mailed you pictures of, so he will be making payments on 2 cues at the same time. If I knew how to insert a picture of that Tascarella cue here, I would. Myron, how do you do it? Please advise.

I hope to do a deal with you soon, always keep me in mind and email me ...

By the way, any commission coming my way for this thread that resulted in revenue for you? :D

There are two ways to place them in your post. But I use the option where just below the reply box (when you are in the reply mode) there is a box labeled "Additional Options". There is a smaller box called Manage Attachments under the heading Attach Files. You browse to your file location and upload it. The only issue with this one is that you have to resize the picture to a maximum size of 100KB.

The second option is uploading the picture to a server that hosts the images. Look at this thread being that it was discussed:

I hope you post some of the pictures here of some of the ones you sent. They are a nice selection of cues.

Wow the Gus Szamboti Ivory Hoppe Cue pictures you forwarded to me are just incredible...Very nice cue.
It looks as if it is unplayed and the finish looks almost new. Thanks for the pictures and glad you are finding your way around this forum.

Here is a picture of an Art Cantando cue. I'm attaching this one as a test photo. How do I attach a photo to a thread that I start? Please advise.

Adding Photos

Mike

Whether you create a new thread or reply to a new thread, the two options I listed do work. There may be another way, but I have not found it just yet.
The first way I mentiond will post the pictures directly into the forum. This is great because it saves time with additional windows not needing to be opened but it is slow for the folks who still use dial up connections.

The second method I mentioned is to provide a link to the photos on a server. Though I have not attemted that method, it was discussed in the thread I listed. Maybe Jeff (iconcue) can help with this one being that he has assisted other forum members post pictures.

Hope to see more of your quality cues.
