Calling all Brunswick experts. I just picked this up at an auction. I think this is an Ebony Brunswick 26 1/2.
Thanks.

:banghead:

Yuppers I was bidding on it... If I had more cash than A/R atm I would have stayed in the bidding....

ErRRRR.. Um no it's a Chinese knock off... disregard the drivel above I'll send ya a benjamin out for it...... Ship it!!!

Ha, I was one of the other bidders as well!!!

Congrats on the cue!! I was a little scared by it because it doesn't have the classic Titlist color scheme on the veneers, but the Stellinga book defined the model 26 1/2 as a four pointer with three, four, or five colored veneers, no mention of exact color scheme.

Nice pick-up, Monte. Been looking for a nice one of those for awhile. Hope you are doing well.

I bought one awhile back that someone had turned into a tire knocker.. Plenty of meat left to make a conversion so this one was just going up on the wall... If you are intending on converting it I guess I am not sooooooo ... LOL

Screw that!!! :kma:

Now go enjoy it...

Thanks Fellas! I picked it up because of the ebony wood and the green veneer color. Just love that combo. I wanna USE it for sure. So what should I do???
I do like wrapless cues. Should I do a Hoppe Butt with no bumper? Who should I have do the work? I saw some pics of work that Jerry Rauenzahn did on an old 26 1/2. Pretty awesome. Has anyone ever dealt with him? Tascarella? I've talked with him a couple of times just not sure about the turnaround time. Any more cue makers you can think of that does this kind of work?
I'll be shocked if the shaft is in good shape. I need to find some old wood for a shaft. Maybe try to pick up Tru Balance. Any advice? I need it.
Thanks

Cue

I know a cue maker that has some old reclaimed maple.
Let me know if you want to contact him.

Dave, good to hear from you. Hope all is well.
It is a Brunswick 26 1/2. Not sure what to do with it now though. I definitely want to use it, but don't know who to send it too. Need to find some old shaft wood.

What a beautiful cue--it's really one of the last--take your time on the builder and build it like a contemerary build of today--pin down south and new shafts with Pilots built into them--the pilots hooking up IMO make the cues sturdy--this could be a sturdy cue--use a threaded pin--don't go for a quick pin--make it strong

It's been at Jerry Rauenzahn's for about a month and a half. He's mailing it Monday so I'll post some pics. I'm keeping it simple, as original looking as possible. It's going to be wrapless. Jerry is making two old wood Katz shafts for me to match the patina of the forearm. Can't wait.

Good choice with Jerry, looking forward to the pictures1
