Ebony Dufferin Conversion

Here is an update on the ebony conversion. Butterfly had to go so, they got upgraded. No where near done, Will add more pictures by the end of the week. Got some other stuff to finish, but should get some more done on this one.

Bottom ring

Trimmed down the bottom ring and added the ivory butt cap.

Point was off, I didn't want to add inlays at the end of all the point to hide them being uneven, so I added a skeleton climbing on the points, his hand will be at the top of the one that is off, there was a bad ding where the hips are at, also his legs will wrap around the point, one in front, one around the back.
Thought would show the off point before I covered it up.

1st ring went on yesterday along with the ivory joint. Shaft ring is glued up, changed the butt rings a bit, cut them out tonight, may get it installed by the weekend.

Not had much time this weekend, had a couple Butt Sleeves to get finished. Did get the bottom ring trimmed an it looks better now that the butterfly and it match. Also got the Ivory Butt Cap on, still need to trim it down. Maybe later tonight I can get some more done.

Yes that is the Phenolic beast, you should have it soon.

I have added a skeleton at the top of the points, a lot of detailing left. One of the points was lower so I am going to have his hand at the top. Thought I would show the before picture so you could see the point.

Go ahead and call me a CBC nuthugger. I like to encourage the new maker's with fresh ideas and passion for building because they love it. This ol southern boy is thinking out of the box. I got 4 more ebony dufferin blanks and I am making 4 more of the skull cues. I have 2 sold and am going to offer the other two on here. The base is ivory joint, butt and ferrule, 1 shaft. I have not started on them, but will be by the end of the week. The veneer colors will be a bit different on the two that are sold, if the other two sell before I get started, then you can pick the colors. Crossbone inlays on the shaft, joint protectors, and one row on the butt. One skull with or without horns. Pm if interested. Only will have the two. Once they are gone I won't be doing anymore.

I have been working here and there on this cue, added another couple hundred inlays along with JP's, chalk holder and pocket marker.

I was lucky enough to get 4 other ebony dufferins, doing skull conversions on 3 of these, each one is a little different. Taking photo's of the builds, will let the customers post after they receive their cue if they want them shown.
I still have one left, not sure what I with do with it. May make a break stick to go along with mine, or may end up doing another conversion for someone else.
