Ebony ivory & tulip for a pimp!!!!

Kind of weird how the buyer specified the specific design and then tries to flip the cue without having played with it, stating that he was 'looking for something different in a cue'.

If he was looking for something different, why didn't he change the design?

Either way, its a nice looking cue Leon. Good job!

Even though I sense sarcasm in your response with how you worded it I will let you know. I have never designed a custom cue before and my girlfriend actually helped me with the design. I have never seen the wood combo before either except on here. I figured I would give it a try. The cue does look nice in person, but the look of it is a bit different then I had envisioned with that combo. There is nothing wrong with the cue, and Leon's rep speaks for itself on here. I am just looking for a different color combo and possibly design combo. Regardless it will make someone a happy home. Feel free to PM me with any future questions on the cue instead of trying to make assumptions about "flipping the cue" and posting on here. I am eager to get back to playing pool, and have no pool cue to do so which is why the quick turnaround for trying to sell it so I can have funds to buy a different cue.

I know Matt personally and he's a good guy. I have tried very hard to get him to play with the cue but he wants to give someone an unchalked, unhit, perfect brand new cue. It really is hard to design a cue and I fully understand where he is coming from, I probably would have bought it from him if it wasn't wrapless. Moreover he literally will not play any real pool until he finds a cue so let's help him get this beautiful cue a new home instead of questioning his motives!

No sarcasm at all. I was actually being pretty forthright.

I just find it unusual that you had no idea what this would look like. I mean, you had the design and there are TONS of ebony and tulipwood cues out there. Its not that uncommon a combination.

There are not tons of cues with that combo in good ol Des Moines, Iowa, land of the corn! I didn't say I had no idea what it would look like, I said I had not seen the wood combo before except on here. Remember computer pictures of cues are a lot of times different then what the actual cue looks like in person. I do not pay attention to what cues random people use. I am no designer and don't even play much pool anymore (which I want to change). Its not a big deal, its a very nice unchalked cue for someone who likes that wood combo and likes how Sly's cues hit which seems to be a growing crowd!

I understand where you are coming from here Matt. Sometimes things don't turn out the way you thought they would. I've had a few cues made for me that I didn't like the contrast of the wood. One cue I had made the butt was too thin for me. I learned from that I needed to be more specific when I gave my specs to the cuemaker. Leon has a fantastic reputation for turning out a quality product. Goodluck with your sale. Someone is going to get a great deal on that cue!

I'd Like A Sly

Leon,
Congrats on all of those gougeous cues. I have been particularly impressed with some of the SP's.....like the fancy cocobolo SP that Eric posted. Can you give me your number or your preferred method of contact, as I haven't found you on the web.

Thanks,

Dane Peshe (KasparovII)
