Travis, are you planing to built a couple of SNEAKY or SLICKY JANE with these? :thumbup2:

full splice

They won't be sneaky Pete's. I don't like that term for these cues as a Sneaky Pete in a house cue cut in half with no rings or butt cap. Sneaky Pete's or hustler cues as they were called around here where made to look exactly like a house cue so I guy could slip into a bar or pool hall to get some action with out giving away the fact he had his own cue for better performance. Don't now what to call these yet maybe "Custom Full Splice"

WOW!!!! Travis you are making me want another Blackcreek cue. Love that curly red narra into ebony.

Full splicers

Wow. Really nice work. Great wood choices too! If anyone was/is on the fence about Travis's work.. I think these will pull you over to his side.

Very nice Travis...nifty wood combos. :yeah:

I had to smile at your post, as I said almost exactly the same thing here:

I know of at least one other maker who feels exactly the same as you do with regards to the subject.

:sorry: Hope you didn't get offended(thousand apology if you were). I do agree with you, this type of cue should not be called a sneaky that is why I add in a SLICK in my previous post.

Maybe someone should come up with a terminology for this type of cue instead of calling this type of cue a fullsplice or a sneaky. As this is just a name for the method on how the butt is constucted.

If it is a full-spliced, will it be a level-one fullspliced(for a non-veneer)? and a veneer full spliced a level-two? also a veneer with sharp bottom, a level-three?

In the snooker world this type of splicing is know as MACHINE SPLICED.
And the other spliced is know as HAND SPLICED a.k.a butterfly (in POOL community).

When comparing air-transport, when do we call an aeroplane a Jet plane or an Airbus? To the norm there are all aeroplane, but to a Pilot there are alot of differences.

Another confusing one is at what level is a Plain-jane not a Plain-jane anymore? Or do we classified them as Merry-Widow if they do past the test.

Sometime I come across so many terms that I do not know which is right and which is not.

Call em no sneaky :nono:

Once again I will say, watch this guy cuz he's going places. Awesome work Travis, about time to quit that day job and start building some cues.
