this is my new gaboon ebony on gaboon ebony John Davis fullsplice conversion being done by Greg Kucharski out of Connecticut, Davis did an excellent job with the 15 year old Gaboon I gave him and Greg is also doing an awesome job with the conversion, it doesnt have a finish on it yet in these pics, after it's sprayed I will post some more pics.

It's heavy but I don't mind that. The butt is at 17.2 after Greg cored out about 6 inches of ebony out of the back of it

So the playing weight will be somewhere around 21 oz.? What's the weight of the SW cue you usually use?

You're going to need to bulk up!

Lol, I do need to bulk up, I'm working on it. My southwest butt is 16.4 ounces and my predator shaft is 3.6. I recently sold an ebony and Purple Heart wrap less southwest and the butt was 17.2 ounces, those cues are so well balanced that they feel lighter than they are.

Have you considered using a G-10 joint pin on this one?
That would take off some weight.
Nice cue, hope you enjoy the most of it!
