I've heard Ed isn't much on visitors just stopping in, maybe a call first would help.

Thank You!!

For the responses, I am going to be seeing family in Marina Del Rey and might get a chance to go by Ed's shop if he will allow me. I will call first, and thanks for that heads up. Curious to see one of his cues in person, and see how they *feel*.

Thanks again.

Hey Doc.......... let us know what you see, and feel.:)

of course

I like skinny butts, great wood choices, forward weight, and good workmanship. Eyes aint great, but I appreciate and try to see *clean* work. If I can get there I will surely post about it

His gate is locked. Make an appointment.
Or you could see Martin of westerncue.com and check what he has to sell already.

thanks joey, thats part of why I asked. Dont wanna barge in. Asked Martin if he had a location I could visit but never got a response.

Thanks again .....

Doc, I PM'ed you and provided my phone number. EP doesn't accept dropping in at his shop. If you call him first and make an appointment, he'd be more inclined to accomodate you. There's a good chance he won't have any cues to show you other than his own beat up one! I gladly offered to meet you at a poolroom like House of Billiards in Santa Monica or Mr. Lucky's in Torrance in the evening or weekend with a few EP cues.

Martin

Prewitt's workmanship is awesome. Hope you get to see some of his cues in person to see & feel for yourself. I had one of his cues about 8 years ago & loved it. I would definately take Martin up on his offer to meet you with some of his EP cues.

In addition, if you like skinny butts w/forward weighting you should check out a friend of mine's cues, Uncle Larry. He's from northern california and his cues can be found on: http://www.wolfbite.com/current-cue-gallery.htm. Larry Mohr was a machinist for 30+ years and is maticulous about his craftsmanship. He just hasn't been making cues for that long (maybe 6 years ?) so he's not that well known, but worth a look since he also prefers skinny butts w/forward weighting.

Martin,

How often are you in Mr. Lucky's? I have played in there for years, in fact i used to run a a league out of there and just recently quit. My current playing cue is a plain PH Prewitt. Great cue. If you and Doc do meet up and Lucky's let me know maybe i can run down there.

Hi Mark, I haven't been to Mr. Lucky's in a long while (5-6 months). I love their equipment though. On occasion I drop by for bar box 8 ball tourney on Sat night. Doc is going to be staying in OC so I would likely meet up with him at Danny K's. Hope I bump into ya somewhere along the line.
