Edwin Reyes cue on Ebay

Wth??

Total disgrace to the pool community... both seller and eventual buyer...

I happened to see the 2 auctions on eBay and I had sent the auction links to 2 of my friends who are great fans of Edwin Reyes Cues.

As someone had said, even the signature looks similar. :/

It just upsets me to see such disgraceful actions....
Copying cue designs and disgracing a master cuemaker's name at the same time...
 
Edwin Reyes?

Looks like he's sold 6 of his cues already. I guess one should know better, 200 for a Edwin Reyes cue. A bit too good to be true.

He's really not scamming anybody, I happen to have spoken with him well before those auctions being posted. When I mentioned the late great Edwin Reyes he seemed more confused than anything. It would be nice if he made people aware that they are not the same though..

honestly - The cue for sale on ebay, and the cues referenced here by JD and Gutierrez don't really have any resemblance to eachother. Obviously the JD and Gutierrez are alike, but not the "NEW 2012 Reyes cue". I think it's a stretch of the imagination...Anyway, maybe someone could politely explain to him he should let it be known within his adds that he is not the great former Edwin Reyes.

I did report him. Well actually I sent them an Email I couldn't figure out Ebays Customer Service. Aff, He sold a cue earlier in the day yesterday. I didn't copy the link. It was a copy of the Gina/JD cue. The one he has up now is probably a copy of something he's seen.

Everyone should be fully aware of who Edwin Reyes was - But how is someone going to be incriminated for using their own name? When asked he does not claim to be the prior Mr.Reyes, but clearly states who he is. He is not performing any type of fraudulent activity at this point. Although a bunch of people emailing him and telling him he is a phony and not the real Edwin could cause some hatred towards the industry and make him go to different extremes... Just saying. My name is fairly common, I don't complain when I see my name posted somewhere playing pool, or runnng a football into an endzone, or winning the lottery...Seems like you are doing just that, mad two people have the same name?...Want him to change his name?

Apparently not everyone knows who Edwin Reyes was. I asked a question. Please read first post. "Is there another Edwin Reyes out there making cues?" I'm not trying to vilify anyone. But I guess I do want people to know that there is another Edwin Reyes out there, now that I became aware of it.
 
ebay really doesn't care if sellers are using fraudulent listings to make more $ than an honest seller selling a similar or the exact same product, there's a guy that buys items from me and fraudulently changes 3-4 words in the title and resells them for 2-3-4 times what i ever can and w much greater frequency

i reported his items dozens of times to no avail so i called them and explained to them what was going on and how their buyers were getting screwed and they told me not to call about it to just keep reporting thru their report item system

as long as ebay gets theirs it doesn't really matter to them if a few dozen or hundred ppl get taken, the more fraud sellers engage in the more $ ebay makes, paypal works the same way basically, u can sell illegal items or partake in illegal activity (gambling on this forum) as long as they get their 3%

u might have more luck if u can get a dozen or more ppl to report the item, that might raise some flags but i doubt it

When you say the word, Windows and add, Operating System behind it, is that what you call an OxyMoron?

I haven't spoken with Joey Bautista or it seems that he hasn't been around in a while.

If there was any question, which there really isn't he would be able to clear it up as I believe that he was friends with the late Edwin.

To say that someone has spoken with this new Edwin Reyes and he is confused by the mention of the other Edwin. How can you be a cue maker from PI and have not heard of the original Edwin Reyes.

Me thinks he may be pulling someones leg just a bit.
 
Just to clarify some...here is the breakdown of our conversation.. I inquired about a cue with "Edwin Reyes" listed as the maker and asked if it was signed. Syasi's reply was "yes I have signed this cue". I was a bit disgruntled at the comment and returned with "I am sure you know that is not what I meant, so I will take your answer as a no. If otherwise please clarify and give me some proof Edwin Reyes made this cue." His final reply was as follows..
"sir thanks for reply are you referring to the guy edwin reyes..who died in 5 0r 6 years ago..he is not the one who made this custom cue,,it was me..my name is also edwin reyes..it just coincidence that we have same name i known that guy coz he is a fellow filipino and we did talk already about cue at that time..i have my signature on this cue all cue we made i sign them thanks and if you want to know more info pls ask me thanks..happy playing"

which leads me to believe he is not really trying to do anything shady...I could be wrong..but when asked you would think he would try and scam me over if that was the case.
