I think he is still using a Judd, but I have to admit I'm not sure.

I've heard he's using an Annie O with one of her AO-E laminated shafts, and her website also says he uses one of her cues.

Saw him playing at Bugsy's Lair a couple of weeks ago and he's still using his maple and ebony Judd.

I heard he uses a Players cue, lol, but for real no matter what cue he uses he will shoot the lights out,he probably has enough cues that if he had a fireplace he would never buy firewood.:D

I saw him used the Judd in the Derby. It is actually not his cue, isn't it? I heard it belongs to Alex from CA.

I believe he was using the Judd in the IPT, US Open, and the Derby. May be I can take a picture of him and his cue when I see him in Vegas and post it here. The question of his cue comes up all the time on this forum.

By the way, is Wu still there? How is he doing?

Yes, that cue is Alex's. He had Efren use it to make his endorsement deal brokering with Judd easier.

Wu left without getting to play any of the guys as he wants them to play by his rules, silly boy. I have a feeling that the Taiwanese owners of Rack-N-Roll subsidized their trip to make his presence there as an enticement to come to that poolhall. Unfortunately the only guy that he wants to play, Gandy Valle, is also managed by the owner of Bugsy's Lair which is the hottest action spot now. Wu should have went there had he really wanted to hone his game while here.

Efren used this cue at the '06 DCC

That is the Reyes line of cues that they are selling in Japan. He plays with this cue sometimes. I have seen him break with this cue, and plays with the Judd. I guess it depends on how he feels about his game at a particular moment.

Efren plays with a Judd. He may use other cues, but his main cue is a Judd with many butt shaft/combinations available as needed.

He's still using the Judd owned by Alex but with his own shaft.

I was told it is the same shaft he used to use on his plain Judd before, is that true?

LOL!!! I just read all of the other replies, and they answer a few questions. Efren plays with a Judd, as far as I know. He owns like 12 of them or something. At the DCC, he was shooting with the cue you see in the photo. Somewhere along the line (on the main table), I saw him look at the cue inquisitively, then go to his case and pull out another cue (I believe it was a Judd), and then continued to play with that. I think he didn't realize that he had been playing an entire match with his break cue.

Fred,

Actually, the funny thing is the cue shown in the picture is not really his breaking cue, that cue is sold for over $1000 in Japan and is called a Efren Reyes cue exclusive from Cosmo. It is quite popular in Japan now. A lot of Japanese buyers think Reyes is using that cue exclusively.
Here is the link:http://cosmo-tokyo.co.jp/
Check out the video on the right hand side. This cue was supposed to play and balance like Reyes old cue.

I like the video, it showed Reyes playing poker and then went on to try the cues out.

In the All Japan Championship 2005, Efren was using that cue exclusively.
