thanks for the link kid! you are quickly becoming AZ's biggest supporter of Phillipino pool!.....good job!

question: we all know how humble and quiet most of your players are over there, are there any that are loud, arrogant, or more of a show off?

Jeffrey De Luna comes to mind... :rolleyes:

EDIT: He is a great kid, no offense. But he is a little different compared to many of the other Filipinos.

Much thanks for the kind words, Gerry!

With regards to your question, all the professional pool players I've met, been with, and have seen in play are ok in my book - no arrogance whatsoever on their part.

And each time two Filipino professionals are pitted against each other (or a Filipino pro against a foreigner) here in local tours or money matches, they tend to play quiet and all. I guess they let their excellent control of the cue ball do the talking for them.

@CocoboloCowboy:

Yes, the article is from the November 2006 issue of Time Magazine.

:)

thanks for the link, does it ever get cold in the PI? i'm done with America in a few years and have been looking around for other options,

@Fatboy:

You're welcome!

Baguio City is the summer capital of the Philippines - temperatures there are generally okay - 20-26C. It's one of my favorite vacation spots since I was a kid.

Some of my good friends from other countries say that it's not the weather that bothers them initially - it's the humidity. But once they get used to it, everything's A-OK. They love it here and they also love playing pool and all.

And I kid you not! :)

humidity dosent bother me, anything below 70 does. i'm gonna retire partly this year and wrap everything up in the next couple years and I want to live in 2-3 places in different parts of the world,

Cool! Drop me a line sometime if ever you decide to push through with your plans of coming here.

Will introduce you to my clubs, friends, and all! It's always nice to have a fellow pool player come for a visit.

Good luck on your plans!

:)
