I know that Earl was sponsored by cuetec at the time but I was just wondering what cue efren played with during the match. Thank you
 
Pretty sure it was a Meucci that he won in an earlier tournament and had pulled out recently (before this match).
 
a Meucci ( which the "ME" part is pronunced like "Mel" Gibson, is not "Meel" Gibson, a lot of americans pronunce it "Meeucci").
Anyway Efren talked about that cue and he said he throw it away because "it was unlucky" ( he was smiling when he said that).

I never heard of this pronunciation. Can you explain where the "l" sound is supposed to come from? This must have frustrated Bob for years.

BTW, the color of money might have been the most significant match-up in the history of pool.

Earl Strickland pronunce it "meeucci" or "mewcci" like the user below.

it is a wrong pronunciation, it's like Schon which should be pronunciated like "Schoen" and it is pronunciated Shawn

hello,
could you please tell me which model efren has used in this match.i have heard that bob sponsores efren for a while. i even own a brochure where you can see bob is giving efren a cue. what was going wrong with this relationship? another question: did bob ever make a break cue? nearly every cuebrand sell at least one or even 4,5 modells. but i have never seen meucci doing it.

I'm not going to say you're wrong or right on the pronounciation of "meucci" but I know a lot of people who "americanize" their names, or their family has been in America for several generations and the pronounciation of their name has changed along with the generations. ie. Llenos in Spanish is "yaynos" but that person's family pronounced it "lenos". So the only way to really know would be to ask Bob Meucci.
 
I say "Pechauer" like "Petch" + "Owwer" and some people say "Peach" or "Peesh" + "Owwer" ... probably a bunch more names that get butched like that. Better to just buy a Richard Black.

Efren broke with a regular Meucci cue. He had a contract with Bob.
I have this cue in my collection.

not really.. it was just a clarification.. I couldn't care less how you pronunce meucci. If you pronunce Meucci "mewcci" in Italy you look silly for sure, but can happen.
