Efren lost twice so he is out of the 9ball tournament already. Stevie Moore I think has not been defeated yet so they say he has a chance of still winning the masters IF he wins the 9ball tournament.

There are some big names still there like Hohmann, Souquet, etc not to mention Efren's countrymen Bustamante,Parica, Luat and Orcollo.

Who do you think will win the 9ball division?

I would bet on Souquet, with Hohmann and Orcollo in top 4 too!

If Hohmann wins, can he get second place in the master, after Efren? He finished high in both banks and one-pocket!

New Master?

Does this mean that Efren cannot win "Master of the Table?"

No, according to the announcers, the only way Efren can lose the master's title is IF Stevie Moore wins the 9ball tournament. It has to be 1st place for 9ball for Stevie, otherwise, Efren wins the masters title once again.

I would think if Hohmann wins the 9 ball he would get 1st place. He tied for 8th in Banks, and tied for 7th in One-pocket so he would have a 1st, 7th, and 8th while Efren would have a 1st, 2nd and something in the 20's or higher (not sure where he ended up in 9 ball). I'm not sure how they calculate it though but Hohmann if he gets 1st in 9 ball looks better.

As I understand it these are the 4 that has a chance of getting the Master, Moore, Joyner, Reyes and Hohmann

Efren won one-pocket and runner-up in banks, big favourite.

However, if Moore or Joyner wins the 9-ball event they can probably be Master too.

Hohmann and Efren is the only two players that made it in the final 12 in both bank and one-pocket, so if Hohmann wins he could perhaps make it? Anyone knows what points each elimination-round is worth, compared to win or be the runner-up?

Damn, I type to slow!!! My post was minutes after you... I am gonna practise on typing all day tomorrow!

Souquet is out too!!!

He just lost the tv table game 7-6 and it is his second loss so he is eliminated. I wish they would show the other results so we would know who the remaining players are. Azbilliards.com only has results for the 1st five rounds.

Re: New Master

FWIW - Efren didn't win it last year either,
some Bank pool player named Jason

This is getting boring year after year. I wish some of the good players would show up and make it interesting. :D

Jason Miller. Last year he won Banks and was second in One Pocket.

This year, he lost in the 2d and 3d rounds of Banks. In One Pocket, his first loss was in the 6th round, and his second loss was to Joyner in the 11th round, after taking out Hohmann in the 10th.
