I wish they would play more 8 ball on TV. That's probobly the most played game in the country when you figure in bar leagues. I would like to see the ratings they would get?

I agree. It's even hard to find good 8 ball matches like this on the net as well.
 
a couple of observations...

Very uncharacteristically, Efren made some of those racks into big adventures but, dang, he can get himself out of serious jams better than anyone. Banks, kicks, whatever he needs... :)

Also, regarding Efren, I know he wanted to look good for the match so it appears he broke out that nice blue buttondown shirt right out of the package and onto his body. New shirt creases every whichaway. I swear, only he can get away with that - I actually found it endearing. I know, I know, it's a pool forum... get back to pool...:boring2:

Johnny Archer - he used about a half-pound of baby powder every break. Pet peeves, anyone? lol!

Somebody get Jay Helfert a can of Jolt, STAT! :eek:

I noticed that the date of this match was just a few weeks, post 9-11. It's incredible to me that our country was able to resume some semblance of our 'normal' activities so soon after this epic tragedy. We Americans are resilliant people. We will forever have that date as a reference point. It's coming up on nine years in just a couple of weeks. Amazing.

Isn't it nice to watch two pro's play a game where you actually have to think and work out problems every rack rather then just making balls in numbered order with your layout predetermined. To me it takes more imagination to play 8 ball. Sure situations come up in 9 ball but nearly as much as they do playing 8 ball.
