I wanted to see how much interest we could generate for this matchup. Efren vs. Shane in a 15 ball all around in the following disciplines.. 15 ball rotation, one pocket, 8 ball, full rack banks, straight pool. I think these games would show who plays the table the best. Because of his age and break, Efren is not in the top 5 anymore in 9 ball or 10 ball. With 15 balls on the table i still believe Efren is still the best all around player. Put it on in the TAR studio. Charge for the pay per view and market the videos afterward with Efren and Shane getting their fair share. Lets get this train rolling. Market this match correctly and this could take TAR to the next level and really generate interest in the sport. You know you could sell a million copies of this potential match in the Philippines.

Im there....

Any chance to view Shane or "The Magician" in action is usually quality entertainment..

As much as I love watching Efren play any form of pool....He's almost 60 for God's sake. These types of matchups are usually marathons and certainly would favor the younger legs/eyes. Shane conquering Efren in an all-around now wouldn't exactly be all that earth shattering.

I would be more interested in your format with Shane and Busty...but I think Shane would get barbecued.......

Guess what? in this format SHANE IS THE UNDERDOG even at Efrens age. As a matter of fact Efrens age is what makes this even an argument. If Efren from 15 to 25 years ago were to play Shane this format it wouldnt be close!! If they play THIS FORMAT anyone that thinks Shane will win can get action.

I would give you action on that. All day long. Depending on what the races were of course and if we were betting per game or for the overall. In a race to 25 9 ball and 10 ball Shane is going to run over Efren like a freight train. 15ball rotation Efren will make Shane look and feel like a child who was just punished for being bad. I could just see a picture now of Shane sitting in his chair as Efren is looking at him after just destroying him with a bubble cloud popping out of his head saying NO! NO! 8 ball I could see going either way but would probably give a slight edge to Shane based on his age and eyesight but Efren was a 2 time IPT champion just a few short years ago, he is one of the strongest 8 ballers ever. One pocket and straight pool could go either way in my opinion, depends on the day I suppose. Efren has decades of experience more in one pocket than Shane and both are pretty new to straight pool and already making a splash in it.

All due respect but wasn't a Big Money Efren Match something that JoeyA was organizing? After all JoeyA IS Efren's mini tournament backer. :D They were talking about One Pocket with Scott Frost though.

I know for a fact that he has already spoken to the Efren camp. If anyone can make an Efren match happen it would be South Louisiana.

Carry on,

Ray

No one is talking about 9 and 10 ball, this is about full rack games only!

You are right about the 10 ball, but 9 ball could go either way. Efren isn't dead, just older

Obviously you didnt read the title of this post.... 15 ball all around 9 ball and 10 ball are not involved...

Did we really need another thread? didn't you discuss this in the other thread and it fell flat? I'm sure alot would watch, but all the questions from the other thread still apply.

Good luck,

Justin

[sarcasm]I love it when people create threads like this with a title that makes you assume the match is already set up and not just something in the head of the original poster who wishes this match would happen.[/sarcasm]

"You know, I wish that there was some way that I could be outside playin' basketball in the rain and not get wet. Now wouldn't that be great, hmm?"

This will never happen"-). Forget trying to beat Reyes in rotation, Shane would be the underdog in 1 pkt, 8 ball you would have to give Reyes the edge, full rack banks could be a pick em, maybe, 14.1 Reyes again would be the clear favorite. The only way this could ever happen is if 10 ball or 9 ball was in the mix.......

Funny

but they don't play what we want, they play what they want to. I seriously doubt that rotation or 14.1 would be in the mix because Shane doesn't practice them, and Efren probably only practices rotation some. You could bet that 10 ball would be in the mix.

Efren is 57 (Jay said so), and I wouldn't count him out in anything just yet.

The reason i said a 15 ball all around because then you will find out who plays the table (pool) the best. Al 9 ball and 10 ball is at the top level is a breaking contest

Is Efren really half blind? Makes sense. He's approaching 60. I'm at 50, and I can't see anything clearly at nearly arm's length. Lasic Surgery or not.
