Where exactly do you see the damage on the butt in this picture here?

I really don't see it at all.

Here is the real condition of the butt.... clearly a difference.

That cue still looks like it's in good shape to me at least.

If it rolls straight and has dings on it so small that you need a macro lens to see it and you
need to post pictures that are like 50 times larger than the cue it self I say it's in good shape.

I don't expect a used cue to be like a brand new one.

The ebay description doesn't say that it's flawless.

If you don'g get your money back it sounds like you still got a good cue on your hands.

Well, he lied about the condition of the cue when I emailed him asking several times for the condition of the cue. He lied clear as day obviously. He said there was 1 ding on it and you couldn't see it. When I run my hand all over the cue,it's got dings everywhere, some dings can't be seen by a picture because they are on the brown red part of the cue. It;s normal that I took pictures like that to show them... the color of the cue makes it hard to see dings, you have to have a light source to show it.

I disagree. They would have taken your initial response and positive review of the product and since you "played" with it, it could be argued that the dings were per your playing. You're own exuberance would have betrayed you.

You would have lost. I have personal experience with ebay and the feedback system.

But again, if he meant to scam, why confess that he played 9 racks with it ?

If the seller was legitimate, why move it outside ebay ?
why were pictures of the shaft shown so minimal ?
If the cue had some defects, why not use a escrow to avoid all these hassle ?

I'm sure this is an experience which we can all learn from to avoid such a mess :)

Efren's cue is a Diveney owned by a collector. He is turning the cue over after a while to the collector.

Observations

Several observations:

Sellers -
If someone bothers you on eBay, block them.

Buyers -
Gifting money through PayPal is just that, a gift. Don't try to save 3% and then expect PayPal to apply their Buyer Protection Guarantee to something for which you did not purchase the service.

General Comment:
I've read this thread and the one on Facebook and it is the worst case of buyer's remorse I have ever witnessed.

It was good, people showed me support and they made good points. I was happy to answer questions.

It took some cojones to come on here like you did, and it's good to see that from our
friends North of the border.

I have not said a single word or implied scam in any post in regards to the buyer. He said he hit a TON of racks when he agreed the deal was valid and finished.

Seller has 100% positive feedback, he was miffed at the multiple screen names of the buyer. (Answer to your question)

OK My turn...
You ask questions, that you feel you do not get the proper answers to.. why buy? You're asked to send a gift payment by someone you don't know.. why buy?

Why send an e-mail after hitting a ton of racks, validating the deal, and then reneg?

What people are missing is he said he hit a TON of racks and as he typed this acceptance text/email and the cue was in his possession. As someone that has bought a lot of cues, I check for condition FIRST then I hit a few balls.

My professional opinion is that the seller said the cue was in really good condition. IMHO at 425.00 if the cue has tip, and is straight, it could qualify as really good condition. As far as not getting answers to his questions, well maybe the seller feels that his description is ok for this cue. I am not in either persons head. I feel the description in the ebay ad to really good condition can apply to this cue.

The other issues such as the lead in ad, or the link on AZ for multiple cues. Say whatever you want, it takes you to an auction that is defined as a single cue. Now maybe the seller wants you to offer on the other cues, its been done multiple times to auction a single item and use it as an ad for other items.

MY opinion is the buyer is 75% at fault here. He bought a cue that was stated in really good condition and ACCEPTED the purchase. He looked at the condition after that, according to him, and yes I don't believe it, and tried to rescind on some technicality due to a vague description and unclear photos. Which would be ok if the seller said mint condition, then he has a legitimate beef.

If the seller claimed mint, and that is what he received I would say hang the seller.

Like I said, split the refinish and learn from the mistakes....

"i am not the one who tried to save money by doing a money gift, that was the seller who did that.

I don't have buyers remorse. I have a I've been scammed remorse.

Diviney cue?

Pat told me he made a cue for several pros, including Efren and Shane. Pat has made me 3 cues and I will have them forever. But, for some reason my cues don't shoot as well as the Efren and Shane cues. What the heck!

I hope the cue dispute gets settled fairly.

Sebroy,
I just want to ask.. you show the damage to the joint area and to the butt cap. Which by the way you're saying you didn't see when you assembled the cue, and rolled it on the table and picked it up and put it down repeatedly over a "ton" which became 9 racks? So you're saying you didn't ooohh and ahhhh over the cue, i.e. visually inspect, as we all do when we buy a new cue.

A full wrapless cue you didn't rub your hand up and down or feel around at any other time except AFTER you agreed to the deal? Not while you're playing your "ton" of racks, at anytime you don't notice this "damage" under pool table lighting.

C'mon really.. you writing a new book called Gullible's Travels?

My dog in this fight, his name is C.S. its short for common sense. I think you're kicking my dog.

11 pages of reply. I told you this won't end. I won't go through 100s of messages to show just the right messages to kinda show im in the right like this nutjob. first of all, I told him I won't ship to canada. After 40 or so messages and two other deals that went bad, one for a schon and one for a failed sale, I started to think that someone was ****ing with me. He created 6 different accounts, and the message never came to an end. He kept on insisting that I sell him the cue, the questions and messages keep coming, and coming and coming. I reposted the cue for $425 on ebay on his request, than he backed off. than he started asking questions again, and kept pushing. the only reason I said I would do it only through paypal and as a gift was to protect myself, bc this guy was giving ME red flags. I said no to him several times, but im guessing he wont show those messages, he kept pushing for me to sell to him, and I still had reservations for exactly of what is going on right now as I type this. he forced me to sell to him almost, I did so just to stop the endless messages. I changed the item price and post on ebay three times at his request. I wanted to go through ebay, but he kept changing his mind and kept asking questions ranging from the OB comapny to the feel of the cue to the color of the woods and the kind of chalk i use on it and if I ever farted on the vicinity of the cue. I answered everything patiently. I got fed up at one point and told him I would only do it my way. he loved the cue, than changed his mind. I have never ripped anyone off and never will, ive dealt with people here in sales and trades, several trades that were reversed and resent back, with zero problems, ever, including local. and heres the final truth, I will continue to deal with people here and nevr have a problem, this guy will never deal and if he does he will fuk with you, and when he gets redded and banned, he will start a new account and many more if he needs to. I have never in my life had to deal with so much shit in one situation in my life, well, except with ex girlfriends, but you guys understand that kind of situation. this is my last post on this thread with this guy. he will keep on trying to prove his point, and wont stop, and keep backtracking when he ****s up on a reply and try to get the right answer and than re-reply. and if you went through this thread, you now partially understand what ive had to go through. go to his facebook account, not a single picture of him, it's all weird shit and political statements. someone point him to the NPR section, so the madness here will end.

oh, I also told him if hes ever in NY I wanted to play some and id buy him a beer, introduce him to a few people and chill. this is after all the bullshit, I was still nice enough to invite him for a game. Ive been to canada and love it, I think canadians are fantastic people, but theres that one guy that changes that perception, forever.

I noticed you didn't say anything about the condition of the cue. You talked about everything but that. Good job.
