Egg vs. Beetle -- Match of the century!!!

I know everyone has been at the edge of their seats awaiting this match to finally materialize. Today, as the snow was beginning to fall, the match was played.

So, following the suggestion of Williebetmore in another thread, here are the results, out in full and public disclosure:

Beetle: 6 games; Egg: 20+ . Beetle (and Egg) also suffered great abuse by Egg McDogit's friend, Dimo.

The egg did not break this time. The beetle was put into hibernation.

Anyway, it was fun. Jerry Yost stopped by for an hour, and he plays sporty, too. I'm glad he didn't get to see the subsequent beetle abuse.

Egg and Dimo left just as it was getting dark. Prior to their leaving, I had insisted that my play elevates significantly after 7M, but they wanted none of that. So, 'till next time...

Steve, it sounds like you guys had a good time. I hope you'll entertain the idea of doing this again at your place when the weather isn't supposed to be as bad. With more than a couple of days notice, I could get stuff together to make some chili or something else to bring over for us to eat.

I enjoyed the update. I assume that the sun was in your eyes before 7 P.M. - you probably just need some of those orange shades like Earl wears.

Steve, it sounds like you guys had a good time. I hope you'll entertain the idea of doing this again at your place when the weather isn't supposed to be as bad. With more than a couple of days notice, I could get stuff together to make some chili or something else to bring over for us to eat.

You're making me hungry with all the talk of Chili! I wish I had some right now! Definitely, we'll do this again with more notice and hopefully you can make it down. Did I mention I have a full bar???

Actually it was those darn snowflakes zipping around outside...very distracting! I will consider the Earlshades idea for the future, though. Any edge I can get!

Yep it was fun. I realize this was done on very short notice, but there are enough people around here to get various groups together now and then. I think it will help my game, too! Glad to hear the same things are going on on the West Coast, and up in New York.

thanks for the kind words, beetle, but these people deserve to know the truth. Actually it was more like 6-20 beetle...but he's a very modest guy (and great host!). Thanks again for having us

btw we also exchanged some videos - future get togethers will be a good chance to lend/share. We borrowed the first 7 tapes of the earl vs efren race to 120...we've watched the first 50 games or so and it's...well...very very digusting. Anyone thinking about quitting pool should avoid these videos.

let's do it again...and some of you other people should show up!
