Elegant BRIDGED 4 Point Ed Prewitt Ebony/ Kingwood Cue

28. Just received. Brand new Ed Prewitt 4 precision BRIDGED ebony points with 3 veneers (black, silver and white) into Brazilian kingwood. Fancy paua dots jewelled ringsets at all positions. Elphoryn joint and buttcap. MOP slotted diamonds in points and also in ebony buttsleeve with MOP dots in between. Spanish bull black leather wrap. Ed's cues are outstanding and among the best money can buy. This is the 2nd bridged point cue Ed has made. His yearly cue output is very low, maybe 16-18 cues.

Why do people even ask about price by making a post?

High end cues like Ed's, and others, deserve 1 on 1 discussion between the seller & interested parties.

Maybe it's for the sake of curiosity or trying to educate themselves about what a top custom cue costs.

When price is omitted in a FS thread, it wasn't done because the seller made a mistake to include it.

Andrew Carnagie was known to say "When you have to ask what the price is, then you obviously cannot afford it."

What my less than eloquent friend was saying is that usually people comment on the cue in the gallery...and ask pricing privately. :wink: Perhaps he is just a bit moody today. :grin:

from there, the price only goes vertically upwards......Ed makes very few cues and the ones he makes
play phenomenal......Can't go wrong with one of his cues if you can find any for sale. Here's the one I own.
Due to the CA ivory ban, Ed cannot make cues using ivory any more so my cue is a little more special for me.
18.8 ozs (Butt 14.6 / shafts 4.2 - 13mm), 3/8 x 10 flat ivory joint, ivory ferrules, orig. Moori tips and plays like a dream

when the seller omits the price, it was intentionally done. In other words, he doesn't want to
publish the price but he'll reveal it if you made a serious private inquiry. That's just the common
etiquette of selling and you just don't go and ask someone how much did you get, sell, or want
for your cue by posting that question on their thread.......that's just how it's done..

Omitting price serves one pupose. To protect the buyer to percieved value in case of resale.

I agree with it for that reason and because it's no one elses business but the parties involved.

I should have stated this is a very nice cue! The buyer got a nice one.
