Elephant ear wraps

I have not use one extensively enough to really have a pro and con list with using elephant ear wraps.

Can you guys share your experiences with them?

I had one installed on a cue i bought . It seemed to make the wrap look Fat , sold the cue the guy that bought it liked it . ????? Take all Kinds . Jim

I found it really matters where the EE is cut from .But all in all a nice wrap.....

Pros. Good for cues.
Cons. Not good for elephants.

You could try a cork wrap. Corks are not close to being extinct yet and they are easier to catch.

Elephants don't part with their ears any easier than they do their teeth.
I guess that's why they NEED to be killed, so we can play pool.

It's better than a wrap made from bald eagle heads, manatee flippers, and baby seal scalps.

FWIW, all morality issues aside, I found elephant ear wraps to be a bit too textured for my tastes. Has a more "rubbery" feel than what one would expect from a leather.

Are we using real elephant in wraps and cases ? Thought it was a pattern imprinted on cow leather.

There are elephant ear embossed leather wraps but the real elephant ear is by far my favorite leather wrap. Very tough (should last many, many years), feels great and I feel is the easiest leather wrap to install perfectly. I had 3 cue makers inspect my first EE wrap and after at least 5 minutes of inspections, none could find a seam.

I will stick with the embossed leather. No judgements here, just my own choice. Saves me some money too.
