Actually, there is a simple solution. Unfortunately, all the bleeding heart liberal dogooders who seem to be in charge of stuff these days won't let us use it without fairly severe penalties.

Hi Guys,

This is one of the most common email hacks out there today. Like another poster mentioned it is pretty easy (for geeks like me) to obtain the address book of one of the online email hosts (gmail, yahoo, hotmail, etc). It is even easier to create "spoof" emails and send them to that entire address book. If you forward me the email's in question, I can look at the complete email header and try to narrow it down to the host/domain where these originated from. Forward message to pip9ball@gmail.com.

This is spot on. Someones address book got hacked into, they took control of the email and the bots are spamming with great gusto. I would do a scan with this, Malware Bytes,

and make sure your system is secure.
