sorry for the delay....had problems with the computer (the quote and quick reply buttons are missing--had to turn off zone alarm).

anyway, the score now is 7-1, for rubilen amit.

first game went to sone, but that was the last time she scored. both ladies suffered from easy misses early on but amit was able to limit hers to a minimum. Sone was extremely unlucky in a number of frames, giving amit some easy outs.

commentating is dennis orcullo.

Didn't get to watch V for Vendetta when it came out but I have the comics....will probably watch it on DVD....

I'm in the phils watching the tournament on tv.....

Amit breaks....easy set up...no problem balls.....but then she misses an easy 6 (!)....sone now back to the table ....and they go to commercial! (apparently i'm not watching a live broadcast)....

amit's disgusted with the miss as sone cleans up for 7-2 (race to 9).

sone also takes the next rack (after some exchanges) to close the gap to 7-3.

Some background: Kyouko Sone is the 4th ranked lady player in Japan and the 2004 All-Japan Ladies Open. She dresses like Jeanette Lee and looks a bit like her. Very sexy and pretty and plays just as good!

Could anyone please offer me the result of the 3rd round A side match between Jennifer Chen and Ga Young Kim? I believe it is live on TV.

Is Shin Mei Liu already on the B side?

How is Rublien Amit doing? Is she still in? I knew she was on the B side.

Thank you.

rack 6 jennifer chen to break....2 balls on the break (4 and 6) with a good position on the 1.....and its an easy run out.

score: 3-3

rack 7: kim to break....nothing falls....chen comes to the table....she successfully does a 2-4 combination but both balls fall!....she has to jack up for the 3 to the side...but she makes it and gets good position for the 5!....all the balls are pretty easy from here on in...but she misses and easy 7 on the side! (commentators say there might have been a camera flash)...and kim comes up with a good bank for the 7 and cleans up the table!

score: 4-3 kim

rack 8 chen to break....3 balls on the break but no clear sight on the one...and she elects to push....kim hesitates a little but gets a good bank shot on the one to the corner....has to take a jump shot for the three but misses....chen is left with a long shot on the three though...but she sinks it easily with a good shot on the four...she makes it but snookers herself behind the six....kicks at the five but leaves it open for kim....kim goes for the safety and puts some distance between the balls.....chen goes for the safety but left it wide open for kim.....kim makes it but overshoots a little for the 6...she sinks it with no problem though and finishes off the 9.

score 5-3 kim

ga young kim -- 2004 and 2006 world champion
2005 national champion
ranked world no. 1

rack 10 chen to break....and she scratches!....and kim shows us why she's no. 1!

score 7-3 kim

rack 11 kim breaks and drops a ball with a good line of sight on the 1....but she's wrong-sided for the 2 and she's not happy....she tried to go around the world and misses the 2 on the side....but chen misses the two! and kim punishes her for it...and makes short work of the remaining balls.

score 8-3 kim
