I was wondering if Ron Thomas and Sam Engles are still making cases? If anybody has a link to there website or contact info please let me know.

thomas, yes......still making cases.

engles? no. long story there.
it's a shame. he made some nice cases.
i got a couple for sale.
tooled black smooth leather and a real brown lizard.

I hear Sam Engles-from Jackson TN. is no longer is making cue cases! Mr. Thomas still makes a great case.

That's to bad about Mr. Engles. I have one of his plain cases and I get a lot of compliments on it. What happened? The only thing that I can think of that would cause an honest man to go downhill so fast is drugs/alcohol. That's only an assumption.

I talked to Ron Thomas today thanks to an AzBilliards member and he is going to make me a case. Im glad Ron is still building cases, the 2x4 tube/fellini style case i got from him in the early 90's is just awesome and still looks great after all these years. After talking to him today it reminded me of what a nice person Ron Thomas is. I tried to get a case from another case maker that supposedly came out of retirement a few years ago and sent payment in full to have a case made only to have the law get involved to get money back many years later. I wont mention any name but i started with a F and end in a I.

I heard the same story from several different people that sent him money and never got a case or their money back. Sounds like you were one of the lucky ones.
