Enough is enough -- shut up or put up

Remember, the best draw you got was with my ratty old Brunswick (with an Elk Master tip & Z-shaft)... and a pretty darn good draw as well. As for you running only 2-balls, I think we should start gamble sometime soon, (before you move to Austin ;^)

Anyways, it was very nice meeting you, and I hope to meet/play you soon.

I'll be at Shoreline tonight for 8B APA.
I was just joking about 2 ball runs.
I have been shooting decent lately, but it seems I will lose the game if I don't keep it to 1 inning or less.

draw shots

Shoreline Billiards has a new owner and the first thing he did was buy all new balls for the room. When we did this shot I didn't want to scar the new balls and an old set was behind the counter so we used those. Like I said, we will film another shot with a brand new set when Peer is around with the camera. I hit a few draw shots with a new set the other night and duplicated the draw distance but Peer wasn't around. I've watched the Nevel video a few times and I know he is a champion but I am still curious as to how far he or anybody else can draw. Not masse and not on a bar box. I think I made a mistake about the distance of my shot, it was 2 table lengths with the OB on the first diamond and the CB on the headstring.

I will find a video camera and will post some draw hots that I do. You will be able to see that there is no gimmic to my shots. Oh, and by the way the youtube video was on a bar table with nap cloth and with a bar cue ball. I will do some on a 9ft table with about 5 month old simonois 860 cloth and the measle cue ball. I hope i can get this done in a week or so. thanks and hope you enjoy

Larry,

I respect your ability and have heard about some of your shots, which I hear are spectacular.

However, I am not sure if you were watching the same youtube as I was with bumpypickle's shot. The video I saw was definitely a 9 foot gold crown...

Painfully obvious that this video was done on new cloth. Still a good draw stroke but on new cloth it's not that difficult. It's even harder to do it and not have all that side spin he had on the first 3 or 4 tries.

Guys, I think Larry meant Larry's video. Just check the post he quoted. ;)

By the way, how cool is it that Mr. Nevel dropped into the thread? Props! :)

I think Larry was talking about this video of himself.

I've seen Larry in person back in 99 at cornfed reds in columbus, back before anybody knew who Larry was.

when i saw him shoot this shot, i just thought .....wow, Jesus Christ finally decided to start playing some.....

guess my question is why do I want to draw a ball that hard?

i don't think that the shot was the point of the post. i think there're just a lot of people posting that they can do some pretty amazing things on here.

just like everyone being a tough guy on the freeway. this is your chance post a video of what you can do.

i'd personally like to see some of the "how to run this" stuff that's always in the straight pool section done. it wouldn't be exciting but it could be cool

I guess it's a similar thing that some of us are impressed by Andy Roddick hitting 155 mph serves, and Mickey Mantle hitting a 634 ft home run. Just a guess.
