ESPN Classic Billiards Fri. 7/15 @ 11: am. est

This morning it was Balsis vs. Crane. It was pretty good even though I was drifting in and out of sleep through most of it. I woke up just in time to see the best 2 out of 3 8-ball tie-breaker at the end. Being a relative youngster here  I never got to see these guys play in their prime which is a shame, but I still like these old matches. Too bad they aren't playing straight pool though :( . I always wondered why there isn't more footage of these guys in their prime. They always show old newsreel footage of old golfers like Walter Hagen. If pool was as popular back then as people say it was then where is the footage of Greenleaf etc?

P.S. Man Joe Balsis had a sledgehammer break.

There is a tape you can buy online called "Clash of the Titans" which is the finals in the first BCA sponsored 14.1 tournament. Is Crane and Balsis, black and white. Crane has an amazing 150 and out run. He gets stuck 3 or four times and shoots his way out of it every time. Sound quality is quite poor, but the camera work is actually pretty good.
