First Day Was Nice ,2nd Day Ok,now They Are Using It As A Time Killer...
Enough Already..
Lets See A Nice Straight Pool MatCH Between These Guys...

i was disappointed on the 1st day, when the 2nd hour was trick shots, which bore me to no end. then i tuned in late afternoon and found a repeat of the 1st hour!
2nd day, four hours of which 2 hours were repeats of the day before.
give me a break!!

i hope someone informed the young allan hopkins how to pronounce snooker since then.

i do find the unthinking effort to simply make a good hit kind of funny. it is great to see these guys play. this is some aggressive pool, no one seems the least bit afraid to set up a bank shot for position purposes. and these guys make most of them.

Joe Balsis Bridge Hand Position

Did anyone notice how Joe BAlsis held his bridge hand during his match? I've seen very, very few players do that, but it's normally because they didn't know how to form a bridge yet. He's the only player though that I've seen could shoot decently with that kind of hand position. Any thoughts?

ESPN Classics

I sent an e-mail to ESPN saying nice job on showing this 22 year old series.
I would suggest that you flood the e-mail box.. It will show them that pool is being watched which I am sure they are aware of.
It was great to be able to record this past months stuff.

The repeats could have been avoided.
Crane vs Lassiter
Crane vs Balsis
TrickShots
Were shown more than once

They did not show the Fats vs Mosconi match or
Any Fats matches.
These were reported by AZBILLIARDS as well as my DVR.
But were never shown. Maybe there was a problem with the original.
I have the Fats vs Mosconi on tape but quality is no where near this

Maybe we can look to having them show more of this tournament at
a later date.

I personally wish they would show MORE of the World Series of Poker and Best Moments of The World Series of Poker...................

I really enjoyed watching it too! It was nice to see them all together.

I agree Bob. As a matter of fact, look what I found.

Is that a second round robin that was played later?
I see Caras is in and Cranfield and Balsis are not.

originally televised by espn, big fight productions,. Maybe they'll televise this one too.

Glad to see it....

Just glad to see it and get a couple of copies for my old age...
even though it could have been better.....

Makes me wish I had seen these guys in their prime. Mosconi still shot pretty good and he was 68! I hope I'm still able to carry my cue at that age!!

how won?

Does anybody know who won that classic tournament from Atlantic City in the early 1980s? It looked like either Mosconi or Lassiter were the front runners.
