To my experiences, those companies that manage estate sales price obscenely high to start and then begin reducing prices on the second day. Sometimes in the last hour or two they're 80-90% off. Everything sells eventually, but for some reason, it's difficult to get a bargain. Maybe with the rarity of pool and billiard collecting, someone would have a chance to get some decent
Auctions really are hit or miss. Around here, though, the one constant is guns. Those regularly go for new prices or higher. On the flip side, regular run of the mill household items typically go for pennies on the dollar. Hell, my ex wife furnished her entire first apartment at a storage facility auction for less than $500. Granted, that was a million years ago. But, still, all that stuff would have been several thousand buying it new or even second hand from the trading post type publications that were around before the internet put them out of business.I never had any good luck at auctions, everything sold for more than new , and they always had 100 moves to fade . On the other hand I have had friends go to them and get some really nice pieces for nothing. I guess it is the luck of the draw.
Might be a few good ones, the reflection hampers the view."MASSACHUSETTS" stupid AZB auto correct
