Good LUCK, MIKKO JANTTI, an AZB'r. Tough draw, hes playing Nick Van Den Berg.

In straight, he got a bye first round, lost to Tom Storm second round 125-61, and beat Dario Skorput 125-45 the next round, and as you say meets Van Den Berg next. All he needs is a few nice innings. Good Luck Mikko!!

And I always root for Mikko but this time I have to root for Nick......

You can follow the score on the live scoreboard and there will be a live stream.

Good luck to Mikko, I saw that he lost his match with Nick Van Den Berg in the 14.1 division but he will still be playing the eight ball and teams competitions. It's hard to keep up to date with a major tourny here in my hometown, pool a plenty is the theme of the week for me.

Latest news is that Mikko will also be playing in the 9-ball tournament.

Dear American pool players, we have a very nice website, the best pictures, live scoring and live streams. Besides that we have very very good players. Still we have to top this topic every day......

This is Mikko

Sorry Duintje, I'm using your account 'cause it was logged on ;)

So, this is mjantti here, not Duintje.

Yes, first straight pool match was against Storm, I decided to freeze him up with tight safety play and it worked, we didn't have high runs. Unfortunately I wasn't in stroke and couldn't capitalize from Tom's mistakes :( Lost 125-61.
Then with some miserable play, but ok shots I beat a Croatian player and then with a tough draw faced Nick in the loser side. He ran 84 in the start and I managed to run only 14 and played safe and froze the cueball to the stack but got a 4-ball combo from there. I got another chance when Nick scratched again, but couldn't make a long shot...

In 8-ball I had a terrible start, played absolutely horrible against a guy from Lithuania and lost 8-6. I had one 8-ball which went from the jaws to another pocket and when leading 6-5 I made my ball and kissed the 8 in... Proceeded to suck, and lost 8-6. Then I got myselft together and beat a former EC-medalist from Luxembourg 8-5 and then had another tough draw to face Oliver Ortmann in the loser side. He won the lag and ran 3, I ran one after his dry break and in the next one tried to free my ball near the rail, got double kissed and had to slow roll a ball in the middle, table rolled the cueball off and Oliver proceeded to run from 3-1 to 6-1. Then after his dry break I ran to 6-4 and was running out that rack and had to play on a difficult penultimate ball shot near the short rail, had to jack up and shoot a very fine soft stroke into far corner with almost halfball cut and missed that and match to Ortmann 8-4. Had only 3 innings at the table... Actually, I felt like I could've beaten him, but missed that single ball if the other ball doesn't count when the cueball rolled off... And Oliver didn't miss a single ball

Ok, looking forward the 9-ball matches tomorrow ! Now, that I'm in stroke, I hope to win at least a couple of matches... these players are annoying, they just keep running out rack after rack after rack after....

Marcus Chamat ran earlier a match out against a Brit player with a 7-pack after trailing 3-1... result was 8-3 to Chamat

Mikko- Good to hear from you. That's some competiiton over there. Thorsten Hohmann ran 125 3 times and averaged 50 every time he got to the table. Those numbers are outrageous.

Best of luck .

The feeds arer great, well not for the pile of work I got in front of me!
Just watched Balázs, Mikó 6 vs 9 De Martino, Claudio . Much better than work! Claudio put a 3pack down to finish. Miko probably was ready to battle.....but he didnt get up to bat again. Ihate that when it happens to me!

Well, the straightpooltournament ended with a titel for Hohmann. Tonight the 8-ball semi's and the final will be played and we started with the 9-ball tournament. Defenatety enough of action down here.

So if you want to enjoy those special live streams we've got for the final, or want to follow al the results, take a look at the site.

I hope tonight Alex Lely will win the 8-ball titel. But he stil has to beat some tough competitors. So defenately take a look at 16:30 (semi's) and 18:15 (final)

Alex Lely (the plague from The Hague) has won the European 8-ball championships 2005. In his home country he played Kaplan (Poland) in the finals that went all the way. 7-7. Kaplan lost control on his break and with the Q-ball of the table Alex runned the rack.

Today there will be pictures and more story's.

We have started with the 9-ball tournament and the finals are on friday.
